They have consistently excellent hamburgers. No matter whether we sit at the bar or at a table the service has been very good and the food served promptly. We consider this the best burger in the area

Trying different places you tend to forget that the best all around “American” food is at Red Coat. Fresh hamburger, great glass of beer and French fried sweet potatoes! No one does it better.

We took a friend here because of the great reputation, and I have to say it was a good burger, but didn’t live up to the hype. This was actually my second visit, and I felt that way the first time. Sorry Redcoat! I prefer...More

It’s a pretty cool bar, decently busy and dark as, well, it’s dark. Bring a flashlight. Burger was pretty good, Caesar Salad was good. All a little overpriced, but maybe it’s worth it! The staff was great, bartenders fun and everyone works hard in this...More

Food is always excellent, piping hot, and delicious. Servers are friendly and accomodating. The restaurant is always busy (and consequently noisy) because of its popularity and terrific food. Decor is dated (like old English pub) but no one seems to care. Try the perch, fish...More

Best burgers ever, so be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes for a table. Well worth the wait! Onion rings rock too!

Someone drags me here once every 5-10 years but I must admit I don't get the appeal. The place is dark and dingy. The food is meah. This time I noticed a much improved selection of beers including draft beers...but not cheap. Very popular place...More

We have gone to the Red Coat on-and-off for many years, it has seemed to be here. They offer delicious burgers and ham sandwiches served with plentiful french fries. They have many other offerings but we come here for the "usual." Though the actual size...More

The place is still the same as it was years and years ago. It is so dark that you are unsure of your footing coming in from the light. It takes a few minutes for your eyes to adjust! As always, they are known for...More

We met a friend here for lunch because everyone knows where it is & that the food is great. It is an institution in the area, but even though the menu hadsn't changed in years, the options are such favorites with their regulars, there would...More

They don't take reservations, but they do a call ahead seating and all members need to be present when you arrive. There will still be a wait, but not as bad. I would suggest you call at least a hour in advance if you have... More
