A small cafe in downtown Royal Oak, open on a Monday unlike lots of other places nearby. The staff is super friendly and really helpful. Food is very healthy and tasty - some salads could feel quite simple but they add lots of seeds and have a nice range of options for dressings, which make them a bit more special.... More

Had the unchix sandwich and a beet juice drink. Very tasty "chix" made from sunflower seeds on a wrap. Gingery beet juice was just the drink on a hot and muggy day.

Cacao Tree is known for healthy vegan meals created by a great chef. You feel great when you eat here because the food tastes good, is sustainable and good for you.

Very good veggie food in a small pleasant restaurant. There are plenty of choices, but heavy in the salad/smoothie department. I had the soup which was great. The salad was fine, but nothing special. Not a lot of hot entree choices.

I work in the area...literally walking distance, and this place is my go-to for a fresh, healthy meal. Their smoothies are the bomb, and actually really filling. The ambrosia is one of my favorites. Their quinoa salad wrap or burrito are usually my go-to. Super filling, packed full with fresh, healthy ingredients. Everything may be raw, but make no mistake,... More

Everything there is vegan and gluten-free, so I was in heaven. I got the quesadilla and it was EXCELLENT. The three ladies working were super helpful and fun, and they talked to me the whole time I was there. Wow. Great food, great service.

I want to like the food, but every time I eat actual food, I am thoroughly disappointed. I tried a cup of the veggie lentil soup, it was good, but much too runny, should be more hardy. I tried the General Tso for my main meal, but could only eat part of one leaf, it was too rich, the nuts... More

Small place but clean. Delicious food. My companion and I ordered our entrees, with soup and desserts. Shared them and licked the plates cleaned! When I tell you it is pricey, the cost for two was $45 plus tip. But, I know how much fresh, raw food can cost to buy and how much time it takes to prepare. It... More

The waitress charged me $8.00 for a cookie, and added my receipt wrong. I tried to point out her error, and didn't have time to argue. I ended up paying over thirty dollars for what should have cost ten. I wasn't even hungry. I needed a place to sit before an appointment. It was an expensive mistake, and I won't... More

This adorable raw food spot on the railroad tracks in downtown Royal Oak boasts a full vegan menu but I go mostly for the veggie/fruit drinks that are flavorful and generous. The staff is friendly.
