Absolutely love this place, super cool bar back made of solid wood. The bar tender was full of tattoos and had these huge gages in his ears. Makes great drinks, great food!

Good menu, great service, nice atmosphere. We all enjoyed our food except for the chicken marsala. Heavy onion flavor.

I have tried this restaurant a number of times because I know it is very popular. I have yet to be pleased. During my most recent visit during Restaurant Week 2017, I found my lunch entrée inedible, the dessert of poor quality and the salad okay. It will be a long while before I am willing to try it again.... More

Looking for somewhere to eat at 430pm on Sunday afternoon on the way home from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we came across this wonderful find. We knew it had to be good when we asked if they could make something vegan for one of the members of our party and we were presented a whole menu to choose from.... More

My husband and I ate here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The historic building is gorgeous. Our server, Barbara, was fabulous and we even got a quick tour which included the haunted basement! The food...AMAZING!! Scallops for an appetizer, New York strip and filet mignon for dinner. Dessert? Chocolate cake. We took it to go. Delicious. We will be back.... More

My husband and I split the 5 cheese penne with chicken. It was good and when we asked for parmesan cheese we got fresh shaved cheese! Mmmmm. The iced tea and biscuits are really good.

We were told City Park Grill was excellent. The service, food, biscuits were all very good, but not excellent enough given the prices. Not sure I enjoyed the balsamic addition to the classic bleu cheese wedge salad. It just seemed strange. If you like a classic bleu cheese wedge, you may be disappointed.

The food was fine, but I was not pleased with the high price of the wines and entres. The waitress almost sneered when I asked about a Michigan wine - not good enough for the City Park Grill. How's that for buying local?

I had lunch here last week while in the area on business. I chose this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and it lived up to the praise. The whitefish special was fantastic with enough spice to make it tasty but it too much to overpower the fish. The dining area area has old fashioned tin ceilings and historic decor and... More

The atmosphere and service were great. The biscuits were delicious. The portion size was plenty. The food was just ok. Not worth the price.

Description
City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven
