The food is always good. Ordered the walleye this time and there was enough to share however it was not much for the price. The only reason I rate this 4 instead of 5 is the price. Well maybe service too. Most times the service...More

Like many jewels to be found in the beautiful U.P. , I first stumbled onto this place by accident . Nowadays, it's a planned stop at least once every trip. It's on the way to Whitefish Point and Taquamenon Falls. The fish is as fresh...More

Yum! If you want to try fresh Whitefish in the U.P., don't miss Brown's. They literally only open when they have their daily catch from Whitefish Bay to serve. And the Bay is less than a mile from the restaurant, so this fish is FRESH....More

We go to Paradise once a year and always stop at the Fish House for a meal. It's like an old fashioned 50s restaurant and the fish is the best. Fresh caught daily. We get the fish basket and have never been disappointed. Their fish...More

I had the best fish and chips I've ever eaten! The white fish for my meal was being cleaned as I ordered and has been caught that morning. They were out of their white fish dip, so we had the smoked fish platter and it...More

If you're anywhere near Whitefish Point (think Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum) you gotta stop at this place and have the fried whitefish and order the smoked whitefish spread. As our server pointed out, our lunch was swimming in the lake that morning. Seriously, who who...More

A guide in Sault Saint Marie told us this was a must visit if we were heading through Paradise. He was spot on. I called ahead as instructed to see what was available. The women on the phone said, don't wait until dinner, "fish may...More

This place does not look like much but it's one of the best fish baskets ever. It was caught fresh on Lake Superior this morning. Lightly battered. Baked potato cooked well. Nice service and didn't take long even though it was crowded. Highly recommended.

They close in mid-October .... I suspect not just because of cold and snow but because their supply of fresh daily catches of White fish and perch from Lake Superior becomes much less certain. In addition, tourist... More
