There are not so many places we can rate excellent, I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. Delicious home made food on the marvellous castle Najac view. I was really impressed by the waitress managing the crowed alone and serving everyone perfectly with lovely smile. Top quality local food and regional wines also available. One of the excellent... There's quite a few places to eat in Najac, we chose this one as menu seemed more traditional and regional than most of the others and it wasn't as expensive as the nearby Hotel restaurants. Glad to say we made the right choice, as the food was freshly prepared, excellent quality and very good VFM due to the generous portions.... More

We went for a meal with our friends kids while our friends went for a meal on their own. We don't speak a great deal of French but the waitress was extremely helpful....we managed to order the children's food and we ate off the 19.50 Euro menu which was very good value. One of the children had chicken nuggets and... More

The food was good Out waitress was very friendly and helpful Shame about other girl who appeared to have a chip on her shoulder about something. We didn't speak the lingo but tries our best. The main girl was a total contrast and the place would be lost without her.

Lovely restaurant - get there early for lunch, so you can grab a table on the marvellous terrace. Very friendly staff and good food. Very popular place, so booking for the evening is necessary.

I love this restaurant for lunch as it does some of the best omelettes around. Sitting out on the rear terrace there is a fantastic view over Najac and the countryside and the food is freshly cooked. We have had both lunch and dinner there recently and have enjoyed everything.

We ate here for lunch and returned for dinner on the same day as we were so impressed. Very friendly staff, good traditional food. If you're expecting 5* cuisine then it's not for you but for the price we were very happy with the quality. Lovely saucisse & aligot. Would also recommend the chef's salad and the wine en carafe.

We were tempted in by the advertised fantastic view from the terrace - if you had a seat next to the concrete wall which you could peer over. Anyway I shall keep this short because there is not much to say - everything came out of a packet and fried, somebody on the next table had ordered something with what... More

Having arrived at our rented house in Najac well after 8:30pm on our first evening in France we were a little concerned that there may not be anywhere still serving food. Indeed the streets of Najac were deserted. Thankfully a friendly local pointed us towards this restaurant and there we enjoyed the best meal of the entire holiday. La Salamandre... More
