While in Nicaragua, I used trip advisor to help chose where to have diner many times but for some reason I didn't read the comments on Mediterraneo before having diner there, that was a huge mistake! Service was ultra slow and our waiter clueless but our biggest concern was the food. Althought bothe the salad and pizza we ordered looked... More

Atmosphere is nice, but the food isn't. Maybe you can not expect this restaurant to put haute cuisine on the table, but at least they could use fresh products. Al vegetables came from cans, including the olives. Service was also not very friendly and slow.

The recent reviews of this place are not very good, but I went anyway because of its proximity to my lodgings. I found it delightful. I had the cucumber soup, a margarita pizza and two glasses of the house red for $12USD. Food was good, service was good, ambiance was lovely. It was actually the best meal I had in... More

We went here for breakfast around 10. When we walked in the gave us a menu for lunch/dinner and when we asked for the breakfast menu the seemed confused. The waiter, who was wearing a playboy bunny logo necklace (?), walked out the front door and returned a little later with a breakfast menu. I have no idea where he... More

Went here because it's listed as a "Treat Yourself" restaurant in Rough Guide and the description sounded good. Don't be fooled. We should've turned around at the unfriendly "welcome" we received when we walked through the door. Service was slow (as I now see other reviews have stated). The pizza I ordered was decent but the pasta my girlfriend ordered... More

On 14th Feb (ok it was Valentines night!) 4 of us with a combined age of 266,booked a table at El Mediterraneo in Leon. What followed was a complete disaster. After a very slow start getting menus and ordering wine we eventually were able to order (approx. 1 hour) Over an hour later one of us got a main course,20... More

Having received appalling service in Al Carbon the night before , it was a tonic to be welcomed and looked after so well at El Medierraneo . Whilst the food may not match Al Carbon , the overall experience was excellent in a delightful setting. Nothing was to much trouble to ensure you had a good night. Our second visit... More

My daughter, husband and I had New Year's Eve dinner at this spot. It was a lovely location and quiet. There are not many choices for vegetarians but my meat eating companions were happy with their meals. The dessert was not good-we really didn't find any good desserts while we were in NIcaragua though. The mojitos were good as was... More

Way in the back of this restaurant (past the colonial-style closed in courtyard) is an open courtyard which it seems was taken over from the restaurant that formerly operated next door. It is a lovely spot with tables under the trees. The beer is a good price and served with a frosted mug (bonus!). My chicken was undercooked on the... More

We looked for a nice place to enjoy the last evening in Leon, and found this place. I instantly liked the interior, and different rooms, and especially the patio, where we finally sat down. The only negative point here, is, that it was rather dark. we ordered drinks, which were fine, and also two desserts: a chocolate mousse, which was... More
