A little refuge in the heart of Bhaktapur. Very friendly service, delicious food & good prices. The garden is beautifully lit at night.

We took here lunch and dinner, as we were sleeping at Bhaktapur. As Lunch was good and owner very attentive, we decided to take as well dinner there instead to have bad surprise on an other restaurant. Nepali Tali was delicious. Momo and paneer pakora was good and for children they had some good burgers. The location gave us some... More

This restaurant is located in Bhaktapur City so you would need to pay an entrance fee for Bhaktapur if you want to dine here. Heaps of flowers and plants so naturally lots of bees and other insects. Despite having a big tour group to attend to, the waiters looked after us pretty quick. We ordered a pizza and fried rice... More

I chose this place for the nice quiet backyard garden, decorated with a few candels at night. The atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful. The food is average, bland and boring. Hence, I suggest you come here for a beer or tea and have your dinner/lunch somewhere else.

Just off Durbar square is this perfectly delightful patio restaurant. Thirteen of us had a wide range of dishes for lunch and all were good. I had the tofu stir fry which wasn't that great. Service is okay but the setting can't be beat.

Literally a few metres from the square in Bhaktapur ancient town, the entrance is lovely, as the name suggest, it is located in a garden in three separate areas covered by tenting. The food is OK but nothing too special but what surprised me was the service. There were seven of us, initially booked to have a curry meal. However... More

Came here with Nepali friends. All of us have lived in US so are foodies. I was happy to find place that makes chili mono. It was average. Then we ordered fried momo. When it came out all three of us thought same thing. Suspiciously looked frozen. My friends asked and of course adamently denied.Don't order pizza. If you are... More

We stop here for lunch on our tour of the city. It was clean, very nice setting , the food was good and service was good and friendly. Owner came out to talk with us and ask if everything was good and did we need anything and thanked us for coming.

Enjoyed a cold Nepali beer and a variety of very nice vegetarian options in the garden courtyard of Watshala Garden Restaurant. There are two entrances to this place, so you are sure to find it. It was a lovely respite from the midday heat before heading back out fully fuelled for more site-seeing in this gorgeous city.

I came to Bhaktapur with my friends for visiting historical places and buildings. Then we friends stay Whatsala Garden for coffee. We sat outside the restaurant and enjoy American Cappuccino with historical scenario.
