Popped in late afternoon for an early dinner. The portions sizes were great and the food was delicious. The beer choices were typical and compare to the rest of the island.

This friendly restaurant is very popular and not very large. Try to get there early for lunch or dinner. The menu is extensive. We had the whitefish chowder and Michigan cherry salad, both were outstanding and reasonably priced. We accidentally left our credit card and...More

We got seated right away at 630. I had the cherry glazed short ribs with asparagus. The ribs were so tender and flavorful it was awesome. A little fatty but plenty of good meat. The cherry demi glaze was great. I would definitely come back...More

We stopped for lunch during several days on the island...enjoyed their very tasty Bloody Mary (not off-the-shelf mix) ...and their day special toasted turkey-cranberry sandwich...and fish and chips - both flavorful... and generous portions. So fun enjoying good food, great service...and watching the people stroll...More

Was a nice restaurant in the heart of the downtown island and had great service and even gave us a 15%off on the fudge shop next door and we brought the get fudge for our friends and ourselves 😊

We walked in for an early dinner and had no wait at all. Our waiter was cheerful and helpful as we made our selections. Portions were generous and the food was top-notch. If you order the Cuban Cristo, ask for a bit more pepper jelly....More

The food was pretty good. We went there with another couple for dinner, had a 15 minute wait, not too long. The restaurant is smaller than we thought when we came in, but the food was good, our waiter was good. One of us had...More

I'm leaning on no, but only because I wasn't overly impressed with the food or service. Couldn't hurt to fire off an email to the restaurant, though...

Description
This fabulous Mackinac Island eatery features an appropriate horse theme from the 1938 true life story of the famous horse, Seabiscuit. A great deal of care was taken to restore the original brick surfaces, hardwood floors and new furnishings have transformed the 1800’s bank building into a cozy, comfortable restaurant.

An excellent casual menu appropriately fits this charming place. Seabiscuit fans rave about the Lobster Roll, Deep Fried Macaroni Balls, Guinness Cheese Crock, Whitefish Chowder And Warm Apple Carrot Cake. Top it off with a Manmosa, a mango infused vodka with champagne.

A fine wine selection is available along with a full bar so stop in for an afternoon cocktail or stay for the evening sipping your favorite martini.
