Best in class anywhere in Michigan. If you get anywhere near Gaylord or Grayling make the drive over to Lewiston. The staff at Talley's is "your family" right off the bat and the food is as good as it gets. Simple menu, simple people, simple town. I was so impressed that after visiting Talley's and Lewiston over a couple years... More

We had a part of nine for lunch and I was impressed by the staff getting all of our orders out at the same time. Everything was hot and fresh. We all had the hamburgers and short of making them myself these can't be beat. Very friendly atmosphere to boot. Great food and service!

Talley's has the best hamburgers. It is always busy and the staff is working hard all the time. We try to go every time we go up north. Besides tourists there are lots of locals also.

Very friendly staff, great food, a must stop when in Lewiston. Its a great menu, I love the fish basket, the Tally burger, the fried mushrooms, the wedgie fries. The marinated chicken sandwich is also great.

Four of us attended for drinks and meals. I had the famous hamburger with onion rings. It came with a soggy bun, undercooked burger, and onion rings that appeared right out of a grocery store box. My buddies had the fish and chips, that looked like the type that you get at the store frozen, same for the French fries.... More

Talley's make some of the best burgers that I have ever had. They are not far behind In and Out burgers on the west coast in terms of quality and taste. This is a small town bar and restaurant that is a lively gathering place all year long.

Description
Sitting right in the center of the small town of Lewiston, Michigan is Talley's. One of the best small town bar/restaurants you will ever find that will give you the small town appeal of mid America. There is a complete bar, a pool table, 3-4 tv's and a menu but you really only need to know one thing about Talley's, their hamburgers. People drive 200 miles to get their hands around and their mouths into one. Quite possibly the best burger I have had in a long time. Hand crafted one by one and served on wax paper it is hard to eat just one. Juicy and mouth watering and a cold in the can brew along with some fries, rings, slaw is all you need to satisfy that hunger spot. Be prepared to wait on weekends when the game is on but this is a place the locals hang out and drink and eat, although the menu is very limited. A small slice of Americana dealt out on a huge bun, can't get much better than that.
