First of all, their breadsticks are fantastic. That aside, the pasta and sandwiches have always been good. The salads tend to have brown lettuce which I find inedible. Tried 3 salads three different times & all had brown edges; done with that.
If you are in awe of big portions this is your place. If you want great tasting portions you may want to skip this place.
I got chicken marsala that was edible. My husband got lasagna that was not. It was 2 pounds of mozzarella...and noodles. We found one sea salt grain sized piece of beef and nothing more. I told the waitress I realized she hadn’t made the food but it was this was inedible. My husband decided to try and salvage the dish by saying yes to the waitress’s question- did he want some more meat. She came back with a plate full of overcooked sliced sausage. We gave up and shared the chicken. Nothing like paying for food you can’t eat. Other than not taking the charge off the bill, our waitress did a good job and was tipped 20 or 25%.More
The food here was amazing the staff on the other hand could use some manors, not really respectful to guests due to there conversations with each very rude and inappropriate for a restaurant environment
Bread sticks are excellent, service is good and the food both in quality and quantity is excellent. Had full slab of ribs and they were excellent, ate about half and took the rest home. If there busy, they will have you wait in your car...and call when your table is ready.More
We've now been to Tomato Brothers 3 times. The first visit was average service, great breadsticks and decent meals. The second visit was above excellent service, great breadsticks and average meals. Our third visit was for a birthday celebration. The birthday was not even acknowledged...by our server. Silly hat and all. Not even a "Is it your birthday?" or a "Happy Birthday". Even though we were told we would get 10% off the bill, we did not. Not a big deal, we weren't there for the discount. We didn't get greeted after being seated for at least 5 (more like 10) minutes. Food was excellent, breadstick portion was the smallest we've ever had, but the service was not even average but more like fair to poor. I would go back for the breadsticks and decent meal but I don't expect great service there because it's definitely hit or miss.More
This was my husbands and my first time at Tomato Brothers, and we will never be back. I can count on one hand how many times in 40 years I have ever sent back food at a restaurant, so I'm not that picky. My Beef...tips were rancid. They tasted like the meat went bad days ago. My husband spit it out, but the manager said he thought they were fine!! Tell that to the poor guy vomiting in the bathroom sink. (my husband saw it)
Howell....really, this is your idea of a good restaurant, you seriously need to get out more!!More
Dinner with the family in November 2019. We had about a 30 minute wait, but just patiently sat back and waited. We were seated about 25 minutes later and started with their amazing bread sticks. I went with the mostaccioli and meatballs, while others ordered...the whitefish, and another ordered the sampler platter (see pictures for all 3). No room for dessert, but I'm sure that's amazing too.More
Eat here all you tubbies! The breadsticks are the best, you get a basket full for $5. I had Anna's salad, it was really good. It was also more than double the size it should have been. Only ate less than half. My daughter had...the same, she only ate a third of hers. Together we threw out 65% of what we were served. What a waste. You cant take salads home. My wife had the lasagna, it was ok at best, but you get more than 2x a normal portion. Took that home . My other daughter had the stromboli, it was really good. Two came on the plate, she ate 2/3 of one. Took it home. Note to management, cut portions by 1/3 keep the prices the same, make more money! If we return we will order one entree per two people.More
It seems every time we come here that there is a wait. I guess that’s a good sign! The food is always great. The breadsticks are amazing. We had pasta, salads, burgers and everyone has enjoyed it. The place is just a little dark inside...and parking can be a mess sometimes but it’s worth it. We enjoy going here as a family.More
