The Lone Pine was a staple for me on many many trips to Grayling. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, I stopped always. I heard John and Mary finally shut the place down last year but it is reopened? I look forward to going back this week.

Sadly. one of Grayling's old standbys has been closed. There are many other similar places to eat here like the Grayling Restaurant or the West Side Diner.

We were with a bus tour heading for Mackinaw City. Stopped for dinner. Everything was served family style and very good. Excellent strawberry shortcake. Place is small and not visually pleasing from the outside but food was very good! They are open from 7AM - 3PM every day. Would love to come back for breakfast....bet it is delicious!

Was our breakfast place for over a decade on our annual visits.....until this year. Indifferent and unseasoned hash browns, burnt toast, and overcooked eggs. Never had this experience before and a good breakfast shouldn't challenge the kitchen, but this one went zero for three. Will be looking for a new place. So good for so long, it's a shame it's... We have been stopping at the Lone Pine for years! I even remember coming here as a kid. It is NOT a fancy place, but a throw back to another time...which I love. The knotty pine, woodstove and animal mounts are just a reminder of what was cool long ago. The photos of Fred Bear and his bows just add... More

Excellent food. Best eggs I've had at a restaurant in forever. Service was great, fun people working there. I would highly recommend this place.

I stopped here for lunch. The building has a very up north feeling as others have m mentioned. You can actually smell the pine and the wood fire heat in thre building. For my meal I ordered the smoked chop and was disappointed by the small portions. I've had larger chops as a breakfast side than what was served here.... More

We have driven by many times but finally stopped in. It's a true northern michigan theme, very hunter friendly and lots of trophies on the wall. The service was excellent and there were a couple of breakfast specials. My wife got the hash and eggs and I got the smoked pork chop and eggs. Both were delicious. The waiter was... More

My wife and I stopped here on our vacation and got a burger around lunch. The flavor was amazing and the waitress was so kind and sweet.

We always look for the family owned little restutants while on vacation and my husband found this one. It has great food, our kids loved the hot chocolate and the staff is very friendly and was very accommodating to our larger group. Please do not let the outside throw you off. This is a small gem in grayling. We will... More
