My wife and I stopped in for drinks with another couple and enjoyed a couple of drinks after a downtown event. Service was friendly, the bar has a lot of character, and the service was super friendly (Garrett). Between the four of us we had a range of drinks and everyone was pleased with the experience.

This placed was hyped by locals and people at the meeting I was attending. We found the food to be pretty good and the atmosphere better. It was a little noisy for my tastes, but the dark woods, unique bar, warm lighting, and two level brick building made for a nice experience. All of the people in our party of... More

I didn't choose the place - coworkers frequent it and said I'd like it. They were right. A bit dark for my taste. Yes it's a bar and restaurant but I prefer to see my food. The menu had some decent selection of beer, wine, apps, food and dessert. My party of 8 was served quickly and tended to with... More

Had a great dinner at Bull's Head Tavern tonight. Decided to stop by after the boat show. Close, walkable and accessible. My wife a the Shrimp appetizer as a meal and thought it was fantastic. I had the perch dinner that was good along with fries. Everything arrived on a timely basis and the food was nice and hot. The... More

I went to a private party at the Bull's Head Tavern. The staff did a great job of making sure everyone was happy. The venue is very comfortable, lots of wood like an old time tavern. I would highly recommend.

Our group all ordered the cheeseburger and I added the onion rings. I ordered the burger medium rare and it was delivered very, very well done. The lettuce resembled carrot tops, the pickle had a nasty metallic brined taste and the onion rings had the texture and taste of the grocer's freezer variety. The service was friendly and the only... Bull's Head is a wonderful downtown place - good food, great for lunch. Good food for value and a wide selection of options on the menu. Ambiance is nice, and drinks are reasonably priced. Very busy and very popular. Great taste of Grand Rapids!

My boyfriend and I were in town for the weekend and we came here and it was great! I had the Pamtini cocktail and it was perfect! Nice and strong too! We also ordered the calamari and that was fantastic! The waitress even brought us another order cause she said the first one didn't "look great" so that was appreciated!... More

I travel to GR every month. This bar is consistently lively, busy- but great service - and the food is ALWAYS great. In 20 visits- never had a bad meal. I come because I know it will be good, they will have Perrin's Black on tap (fantastic MI brew) and the value and ambiance is great! Right across from the... More
