they have .25 cent wine tasting downstairs. we go as part of our trip to Frankenmuth every year then pick a couple for the holidays. I recommend the mullen spice with the peach wine. They also carry a good ice wine if you lie sweeter wine.
Husband and I eat here often, spring, summer and fall. Always good service and wonderful food and awesome baked goods. Micah was our server today and was very attentive and friendly, even though very busy. What a great day...November 4th.....73 degrees n sunny!
We stopped in for lunch on one of our days walking around Frankenmuth. We found the service lacking and the food ok at best. The waitress took our order brought the food and then didn't come back until we asked another waitress for the bill. We had ordered their in house made sausage on a bun and were disappointed that... Thank you for providing us with a review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal, and had inattentive service. That is certainly not the way things are supposed to be. I would appreciate the opportunity to talk with you in person about your visit and apologize in person. Can you please give me a call at your... More
Don't go here if you are 'not that hungry'. When you order the Family Style Chicken Dinner, you get A LOT of food. Lots of German style food served by waitstaff dressed in Bavarian style clothes. We ate here for dinner and again for lunch. Both times food and service was excellent.
This is a fun place to eat with great food. Be prepared to eat a lot or share. It isn't cheap, but you get a large amount of food. They also have food the kids will like. However, for me it is the atmosphere that I like best, not just the food. The room we were in had scenes of... More
I HAD to visit the Bavarian Inn for a meal but we weren't that hungry. We had cream of vegetable soup with crispy brown bread croutons on top and a mixed green salad. Both were average. We had the German Wine Sampler - good. The pre-meal bread (a white and a fruit) was served with a peach marmalade that was... More
Tonight, my wife and I ate at the 'famous' Bavarian Inn Restaurant. My wife was very adamant about trying the chicken family style dinner; I countered with schnitzel and we had both. The food was plentiful and was delivered quickly. Our waitress Chrissy was very kind and helpful, always with a smile on her face. The dinner included 4 salads,... More
Thank you for your review. I appreciate you taking the time to share how you and your wife felt about the flavor profile of the meal. The dishes you did try are more mild in flavor. We do offer different seasonings on the table for our guests who like a bolder flavor. We try to serve our guests in the... More
We enjoyed the all you can eat chicken dinner. It's the best place in town to eat. The side dishes are awesome. The staff is wonderful. If you travel to Frankenmuth the Bavarian Inn Restaurant is a place you will want to eat at.
My husband and I loved the German dishes. The food is served family style and was more than two people can eat. The red cabbage is great, as well as, the salad items. Skip the fried chicken and go German!
