This wasn't our intended location, but we walked in and they had a table for us. This was decent bayou cuisine. The variety was great. They have nice Louisiana beers at a decent price. We had cups of soup/gumbo. They can with a large piece of corn bread, maybe a little too much. We shared the special, succulent pork, and... More

Nice drink menu and atmosphere, but the real treasure about this place is its amazing food. Extremely affordable, and downright delicious. The jambalaya is a phenomenal classic, but the po-boys are also fantastic. Would definitely recommend! Would advise to come in groups of 2 or 4 for easiest seating.

Two of us got sick after eating here. I had a long talk with the manager who finally admitted that some of the rice was suspect. He offered a $100 gift certificate, then I asked him "would you ever goalkeeper to a place that made you sick?", after a long pause he admitted that he wouldn't.

We go here often as it is close, comfy and yummy. I usually get the jambalaya but have had several items on the menu and they are all delicious. They serve bottles of wine without huge mark ups too!

We have been here twice, three of us, having five different entrees, and Lobster Bisque, and various sides. The Bisque was thick and tasty probably their own lobster stock, the lobster was heated separately and placed in the center of the bisque, hot and tender. I have had the Crayfish Etouffee, yum, and the pan-fried Perch, very good, they make... More

My husband and I had the blacken chicken and rice, crawfish etouffee, cajun shrimp, red beans and rice and garlic mash potatoes. Everything was great and I love the kick of the chicken and crawfish dishes.

Howe's Bayou is a wonderful, small little restaurant serving Cajun dishes. Great food, wonderful, friendly staff. I took my wife and she went back the next day with her niece. We took our daughter from New York and she hasn't stopped talking about it.

Been going here for many years and have found menu items that both of us love and enjoy. And there are some we don't like at all. Nice NOLA feel overall. So what do we love? The shrimp pasta, blackened catfish, VooDoo warm green salad with chicken or shrimp, the butter beans and the collard greens. Great Tuesday specials. $10... More

As I just went on vacation to New Orleans in January this place compared in food, brought back so many wonderful meals I ate. The place is small but very nice, staff were great and service was excellent. Out waiter always kept our drinks filled. I got the Voodoo BBQ Shrimp which was very good but tasted nothing like a... Howe's is a taste of New Orleans something different then the humdrum chain restaurants. The bar selection is very nice. If you've never had crawfish.....try the bucket.
