Great food and ambience. I love the California burrito with Carne asada, as it is probably the most authentic burrito to the others I've had in SoCal.

is worn out just like the rest of the area. There was a time when the line wrapped around the block at many of these establishments. That is long gone. WHY ? The days of reasonable even great prices for food and drink are gone. They charge the same as the Burbs. The places are run down . I took... More

Normally I would give Armando's a five, but our last visit was terribly disappointing. We had the worst service from a waitperson I've ever had. She completely forgot about us, and 30 minutes after we had finished our meal, we finally asked a busboy if he could send the waitress over with our bill! While we enjoyed the food, it... More

I have been coming here since the early 1900's. The lunch buffet is amazing. I eat the mexican beef until I am unable to walk. I no longer will eat at any buttets as i am am a sea cow now. A toco or fajita is plenty to satisfy me.

Yeah, the location is in a jank part of town and I actually got jumped on Cinco de Mayo by some hardcore Mexican racist thugs for being white some years back but the food is very good and I never let that deter me from going back. The fajitas are absolutely outstanding, too good to try to describe. You must... More

One of the Best Authentic Mexican Restaurant I've ever been Too. This place is not much to look at but the place is Clean, the FOOD is Good and Fresh. We ate outside on their outdoor deck. Service was fast and attentive. The Black Bean Dip is to Die 4... The Margaritas are great here too as long as your specific... More

Ran into an old friend, Downtown. Stop at Armando's for a drink. Ended up eating and drinking because everything was so Good. Service was great and a great place to practice my Spanish.

Lunch with family on a Saturday afternoon was satisfying for all. We were seated at once and served chips and 2 salsas - hot and medium, shortly after. Had to request more chips since we went through the first batch in short time. The seafood and tilapia tacos (a là carte) were tasty and fresh. Everyone else ordered something different... More

I've always loved Amando's cuisine . But never realized exactly how much until I moved away . It's true what about , you don't miss something until it's gone . After leaving Detroit and living in other states . You soon start to find out what Authentic foods really taste like ( and don't ) . When you order them... More

A Mexican restaurant without spanish-speaking waiters is quite disappointing. Que lastima! Food is too americanized, not worth it.
