Very busy restaurant, service was a bit slow but good. Wide range of dishes and good choice of drinks, traditional décor and reasonable prices makes it a good place for cheap eats

This looked like an authentic Mexican restaurant so we wanted to try it..we were a little disappointed..it was not great. The chips were stale, the rice seemed boxed and the chicken was dry. We may have gone at a bad time because the service was...More

Visited this restaurant with great expectations!! Unfortunately I was let down. The food was tasteless. We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and it was not good at all! The steak and chicken were rubbery like they had been reheated in the microwave. The sour...More

Although nice atmosphere inside the food was just a step above Taco Bell quality. I ordered the beef taco plate and I swear if you closed your eyes while taking a bite you would think it was Taco Bell with better quality ingredients. The tacos...More

Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. The give you large portions for a very good price. Well worth going off the beaten-path for some authentic Mexican food.

Even though this restaurant is close to Mexicotown and boasts of serving Detroit for decades, it is not good authentic Mexican food. The decor is stereotypical, with Aztec and Mexican themes. The only thing missing was the sombrero. The salsa - even the "hot" salsa...More

We patronized Mexican Village in the 1970's. We visited again recently, and found the food and margaritas were still very good. The service was excellent, even though the dining room was filled with Tiger fans after a game. There is plenty of safe parking in...More

Our food was delicious. The service was not great. I couldn't even get a refill on my water. Salsa was good - I liked the hot.

Well, they have grilled chicken salad, fajitas (if you don't eat the flour tortillas)...as far as basic Mexican menu items, I would suggest you call them. They have a location in Southwest Detroit and another location in... More
