Stopped at lunch time during the week... place was packed. The BLT was on homemade bread & bacon had wonderful taste. Chicken quesadilla was a large pie shape with great filling . Had salsa & sour cream on the side. Great grilled mac & cheese. Service was good & friendly. Felt like old time bar.

We checked this place out on a Thursday evening, the longer we stayed the larger the crowd. We had black and blue steak salad, and steak and shrimp. Both were great. We are not from the area, so this place was a great local find! We will be back!! Ps The pumpkin pie was to die for!

I had the burger and fries which was very good. My wife had the chicken sandwich with fries it was good also. The waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. The only problem was that the floor was gross. Food was all over the floor it didn't look like they cleaned it for a while. It wasn't busy... More

We had a great time having dinner. The homemade opinion rings were excellent. And the dinner was yummy. Homemade fries were delicious. We had steak shrimp dinner and chicken quesadilla. All tasted good.

We drove 18 miles to come to this place for dinner based on the reviews and we were terribly disappointed. The food was way over priced for what is essentially a dive bar more than a restaurant. The service was fine but thr food just didn't deliver what the reviews raved about. Would not recommend for vacationing families. Fine if... More

The Verona Tavern is located in the country. It has a good choice of food on the menu. All food is awesome, especially their fish. Oh, did I mention, they serve homemade fries? Their prices are very reasonable. Friday nights are hopping. One negative for us is that my husband is handicapped and has difficulty getting up a few steps... More

Growing up I loved the fish frys offered in Mid-Michigan. On a trip back to Bad Axe, Michigan, I ask the hotel clerk for a restaurent recommendation for a good fish fry and she said to check the Verona Tavern. Judging by the crowded parking lot I knew the clerk was right. I had the lake perch dinner with handcut... More

Good selection of traditional menu items which are prepared very well. However, their perch dinners on Fridays are the best in the area. I

My wife and I tried Verona Tavern for the first time tonight. She had a BLT and I had a burger and onion rings. The burger was a bit overdone, but otherwise, everything was excellent. Service was excellent as well.

I order from this place at least once per week and the food has always been consistently the same and very good I might add. The only complaint I have is I love their homemade onion rings but only dine in because carry out makes them way to soggy, if they could be put in a brown bag for carry... More
