The Old Yarmouth Inn was founded in 1696 but it was new to us when we stopped in for lunch. The Old Yarmouth Inn is well maintained and handsome not hinting at its colonial era roots. The restaurant has a good menu full of tempting choices and a friendly inviting staff. For lunch we started with the butternut squash bisque... More

We made dinner reservations but came early to enjoy a drink or 2 at the bar. I will have to say that service at the bar was not good. Each time my wife and my drink was empty, we were not asked if we would like a refill or something else. We had to wait for him to come over... More

I made reservations for New Year's Day just in case. We were seated at 5pm. The lobby was beautiful and cozy with a roaring fire in the huge fireplace. We were seated in a beautifull dining room. Our waiter was informative as well as attentive without being intrusive. We had a delicious dinner. It was a lovely evening on a... More

Had the occasion to visit the Old Yarouth Inn last evening with a party of 13, including children. Everything was beyond excellent from the great service to the awesome food ! Cannot recommend this outstanding family owned establishment enough ! You will feel both like family and spoiled by all the OYI has to offer.

Without the loyal support of people like you and others in the neighborhood, around the Cape and from as far away as Naples we wouldn't be here. We have committed ourselves to good service, friendly staff and a welcoming environment for 20 years. Thanks for letting us know we are doing it right!! Many Thanks, Sheila More

I was a guest at a Holiday Party and again, the Old Yarmouth Inn delivered. we ordered from a menu with three courses. This was not your typical meat, fish chicken affair. we had 8 or 10 entrees to choose from - ironically I had the Pecan chicken with beat risotto. I can speak for everyone at our table, every... The absolute worst roast duck I ever had. There were five of us and three had the duck and two of us thought they went to Seseme Street and stole Ernie.s rubber duck. If I ever go back I WILL NOT ORDER THAT AGAIN.

very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your meal. The Duck has been on the menu for 20 years and we receive very few complaints about it - certainly it has never ever been described as rubbery. I know that either i, or another of the managers would have checked on the progress of your meal, and you... More

My wife and I have been on the Cape since 08 and we dine out often. Old Yarmouth Inn has become our favorite spot. We love the food, the ambiance (partial to the pub area), the excellent service, warm and welcoming owners, and all the attention to detail. As an industry veteran, I see and appreciate the attention to details... More

This would have satisfied me if we hadn't eaten at the Red Pheasant the night before. Here we had a nice meal but the atmosphere isn't quite as romantic and cozy as the Red Pheasant. That aside, it is a nice place for dining and our meal was pleasant.

Thank you for your review. I cannot not deny that the Pheasant is a lovely, lovely spot for dining. We are two different restaurant genre, though, so its not really a fair comparison. Our Dining room was built to be a large space for weddings and banquets and our tavern is designed for a pub like atmosphere - loud, friendly... More

We visit this restaurant every year when we stay next door at the Inn at Cape Cod. It is a wonderful setting, cozy and comfortable. The dining experience is lovely, with an attentive staff and a diverse menu. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

The best we can hope for is a word of mouth recommendation, or in this case one done on a large platform like TripAdvisor. Many thanks for that and for dining us while on the Cape. Please come again. Sheila More

While staying at Liberty Hill Inn, we dined at Old Yarmouth Inn for two nights. Food was excellent, service was superb. Main dining room is very quiet and romantic while tavern area is cozy and lively. The wine list is extensive and we found a very nice bottle - a ten year old Spanish red. Recommend call ahead or reservation... More

It was our pleasure to have you dine with us for two evenings - once in the Dining room and again in the tavern, I believe. We are delighted that we were such a large part of your weekend and I hope you will return to the Cape, the Liberty Hill Inn and to the OYI. Many thanks for your... More
