We were excited to try "On the Border" and it was conveniently located right next to the Hotel. Next time, I will walk the extra 1/4 mile to the other nearby Mexican Restaurant. I was prepared with an idea for an order for take out and walked through the front door. The host made me feel bad about walking in... More

Eating Mexican food in New England can be an adventure that is often filled with disappointment. Fortunately there are a few chain restaurants that can consistently deliver a satisfying Mexican meal. On the Border is one of these restaurants. The others, (that I know of), are the Border Cafe, Margaritas and Chili's (which is associated with On the Border). For... More

Typical chain. Everything was good. Clean. Staff was friendly. I do not think anyone had any issues, so that is a plus.

Came in on a Friday evening around 8 - not very busy, but the staff seemed to be running behind and stressed out. Menu options are limited: this is not a real Mexican restaurant, more Tex-Mex. But what there is is quite tasty, so give them a try. They aren't stingy with the alcohol in their mixed drinks, which was... More

Had been here a few times in the past and it was ok. Latest trip was terrible, we sat at the bar, there was only one other person at the bar who we saw send food back. I ordered the steak street style mini tacos, my wife had a taco and an enchilada, We were never asked how our food... More

Recently ordered take-out from On the Border. Have been going there for years off and on, usually take-out but we used to eat there quite often. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas which is always a safe choice. The fajitas were okay but the major issue we had was with the side dishes. The chips were stale and the refried... More

We ate here on a Saturday evening about 7:30 recently. The wait was 20 minutes as we were told when we arrived. The waitress was very friendly, calling everyone "friends" or "sweetheart " and generous with refilling our chip basket. The food was generously portioned but my meal of chicken and shrimp had been under the warming lights a bit... More

Never a problem with the food at On The Border. It's not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it's good for the price. Margaritas are AMAZING here! Service wasn't outstanding though. Not super fast and they did mess up my order (but at least I didn't get charged for what they forgot to bring).

Very poor experience, and not for the first time. The service is terrible, the servers never look happy, what is going on here for these people to look so miserable?? The portions are small, and the worst today, the ladies room was an absolute disaster, it's a Sunday, no one there really, so why doesn't management check out the facilities???... More

Went there for lunch about 1pm, restaurant was 1/3 full and the host told us we had a 10 minute wait. If my daughter wasn't so set on mexican for lunch it would have been over then. Finally seated and we waited ten minutes for a waitress to ask for a drink order and then didn't even bring over chips.... More
