This romantic spot is definitely off the beaten path. Down a very narrow pine treed lane you will find a magnificent dining experience. This evening, we three old friends found a very comfortable inn with a welcoming staff, outstanding service and excellent food. The medium rare Teres Major Steak was absolutely perfectly done & presented. I had asked for medium... More

The dinner at the Lambert's Cove Restaurant should have been the highlight of our trip. It turned out that it was the biggest disappointment of our stay on Martha's Vineyard. We wanted to order an aperitif but it was not possible. The answer was they offer no liquor, only wine and beer. Lamberts Cove is also an inn and should... More

First I'd like to say that we are very sorry you didn't enjoy your dinner. As told by our all 5 star reviews this season, that is obviously not the norm. Secondly, the town of West Tisbury does not allow any restaurants to serve hard liquor. Up until 3 years ago we were not even allowed to sell wine or... More

We adored this place. From the little hummus bites they give you to the biscuits to all of the other courses right through to the wild blueberry pie, it didn't disappoint. A highlight for me also was that they had organic wine options. That's rare for restaurants. Very worth a visit.

The food is wonderful and the ambiance is lovely. I had shrimp with grits which was as tasty as it was unusual. My husband enjoyed fillet mignonette which was tender and came with a Bernadine sauce. The restaurant is found at the end of a long dirt road through the woods.

We have eaten here many times over the past years and Lambert's Cove Restaurant doesn't disappoint. Lovely ambiance in a quaint inn off in the woods. Outstanding service. Very good wine selection and not overpriced. Recommendations include the lobster bisque, crabmeat croquettes, roasted chicken and a striped bass special with a delicious red pepper coulis. The filet mignon was unexpectedly... More

Most people who visit Martha's Vineyard don't get much further than the ferry and bar scene at Oak Bluffs or the shops and restaurants of Edgartown. But that is not the "real" essence and beauty of Martha's Vineyard. That is located off the busy streets filled with tourists and mopeds, and found in the quaint towns and villages scattered throughout... More

An upscale casual dining experience away from the crowds! A picturesque drive through Vineyard Haven and West Tisbury up island to Lambert Cove which is definitely "off the beaten path" but worth the drive! Chef James McDonough will delight your gourmet palate with creative dishes with fresh food from their own gardens and farm. The fried tomatoes, shrimp and grits... More

Lambert's Cove Restaurant is the dining room of the Inn. It is beautifully furnished, welcoming, and comfortable. Dining ranks with the best on the Island. At least during the season, MV offers lots of great choices in fine dining but add this one to your list. We were three adults, three children, one vegan, three vegetarians, and two meat eaters....
