We stopped in for a walk through downstairs and to check out the rooms for a possible dinner a couple days later. The room directly to the left was like a museum and I had Longfellow’s poems dancing in my head by the time I...More

My significant other and I went to the Wayside Inn for a romantic dinner. The ambiance was completely unromantic, with harsh lighting and an unattractive room, and the food was poor. On the positive side, when we told our waitperson that it was our anniversary,...More

Wayside Inn is my favorite restaurant by far. The Inn is just beautiful. And the staff and the food is always great. It right now is beautifully decorated for the holidays. A+. Can't wait to go back Don't miss out on this beautiful gem.

The Wayside Inn is a beautiful place with many different dining rooms. Some with fireplaces, some more private than not. Can get crowded at Leaf peeping and summer times. Food is comfort food, and is usually good,

Visited for Thanksgiving dinner and had a delicious meal in an historical setting. Our family was seated by the fireplace, and Timothy made sure we had everything possible to enjoy Thanksgiving. Very memorable and happy visit.

From the moment of entry, the welcoming staff makes everyone feel right at home. The histrionic house dates back to the 1700’s and the 10 room Inn the oldest continuously operating Inn in the U.S. The restaurant is terrific. Everything was prepared expertly and the...More

We were a big family group and are so glad we came here for dinner. There is something on the menu for everybody and very reasonably priced. I read other reviews with complaints about the food and I disagree. If you look at the menu,...More

Longfellow's Wayside Inn is a unique part of the historic landscape of Massachusetts, and the oldest operating American Inn. Featuring an authentic building style and traditional New England food, we offer the ideal location for romantic nights out, banquets, family events, company parties, and weddings. Our menu provides exceptional quality at great value, including hearty portions and seasonal foods. We encourage our guests to spend a day with us, touring the serene and historic grounds, enjoying a drink in our 300-year old Tavern, and settling in for dinner in one of our historic rooms. We have an open patio in the warmer months, and lit fireplaces through winter.
