Stopped in to listen to some local music and have a few drinks. Great little spot with talented local musicians.

Stopped in for a couple drinks. Bartender was friendly and efficient. Was surprised that the dress code was down graded. Previous service was of the highest quality. Maybe the den has downgraded but was sad to see. At the Red Lion Inn I guess I expected a bit of more professionalism.

After a long drive, we were ready to get a quick bit to eat. We went to the Lion's Den Pub after talking to one of the owners of the B&B we were staying at. We were able to get right in and was served quickly. I started with the clam chowder and my wife started with the French onion... More

Really, the lightest fluffiest meat cloud I have ever tasted, completely yummy. Just enough delicious tomatoey gravy, and a nice sized plop of mashed 'taters with nice long green beans. I am so full 4 hours later. Thanks, Lion's Den Pub.

Menu was very limited. Seafood stew was very skimpy. Minimal seafood. Live jazz was excellent. Next time will eat upstairs.

Very casual bar scene located in The Red Lion Inn. Probably the ONLY local bar scene. Dark and crowded but fun on a Saturday night. Local bands play. The crowd was mixed ages and very cordial. Maybe 8 drafts on tap. Full bar. Bar m ed nu.

The only thing good about this place is the bands they hire. It does not have "rustic charm" it is old, dark, dirty & stinks!! The seats are uncomfortable & the barware is scratched as well as dirty!! The place smells like feet and has very little charm. Needs a serious overhaul!!!

Situated downstairs of historic hotel, offering lighter fare and nightly music. Terrible food, fare service, and poor sound system.

WE went into the basement as the pub (where we really wanted to go) was full. We were hungry after going to the museum. We found a table for three and were told someone was going to come and take our order. We decided to order one course as we had to drive back to CT. No one took our... More

After a day at the Norman Rockwell Museum we decided to stop at the Red Lion Inn. There was a community carol singing happening in the lounge. We decided to eat in their downstairs pub. We chose the daily special which was a real roast turkey dinner with stuffing and cranberries.

The Lion's Den pub, located downstairs at The Red Lion Inn, offers entertainment seven nights a week, and never a cover charge. There's different entertainment each night, with regular appearances by local performers including David Grover, the Sun Mountain Fiddler, and the Housatonic Philharmonic, offering everything from acoustic folk to R&B, and reggae to the blues. Some nationally recognized performers have been known to grace our humble pub stage from time to time - James Taylor, Lauren Ambrose and Roger Salloom among them.On chilly nights ask for a table by the fireplace and enjoy a genuine pint of ale or stout, a glass of your favorite wine, or a mug of hot mulled cider - all accompanied by our classic pub fare. The Lion's Den is open (until 1 a.m. on weekends), with entertainment from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and entertainment from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. House guests can access the Lion's Den through the Tavern, or by entering beneath the red awning on Main Street.
