We went with my wife to entertain another couple for business. Reservatıon: We had wanted 7pm on Opentable which was unavailable and had to reserve for 6:45, but then saw many empty tables at 700-730 pm onward. Food: Excellent, lots of original combinations blended subtly, civilized portions. Drinks: Must try the amaros. Service: Service at table was very attentive and... More

Recently I was there with a friend, we had two appetizers of shrimps and mackerel and two entrees of scallop and perch. Each appetizer is $16 to $18. Each entree is $28 to $35. 3 shrimps and flakes of mackerel. Only 3 small to middle size scallops for the entree!! Feel like it was a rid off.

We had the Seven Course Chef’s Tasting Menu. Each one of the tastings was superb with the exception of escarole, which was drenched with vinegar, and the dessert, which was chocolate risotto - a bit too inventive. Most memorable was the meat ball wedding soup representing a marriage of tastes. Second most memorable was the ice cream sorbet. Great wine... More

I love restaurants that try to be innovative without losing site of the fact that they're in business to make a delicious meal. More often than not the latter is sacrificed on the altar of the former. (Still get a few stars for trying). The Bergamot tasting menu is clear evidence that you can be truly - almost wildly -... It's been a while since we've been to Bergamot. We've always loved the space... since EVOO was there. The menu is a little different, and it seems like they've rearranged the floor a bit to squeeze in a few more tables. The good: The meats (beef and duck) for the entrees were extremely good, albeit one half-shade rarer than ordered.... More

We came here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. We got the 3 course menu, for $46/ per person. Portions were small, yet filling. I don't think just an entree would have been enough food. Also, dessert was totally worth it. They also had cornbread muffins instead of table bread, of which we had seconds because it was so good... More

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Great space, love the name and love a prix fix menu--but the combination of flavors in the dishes we had just wasn't hitting the mark. We had the 7 course tasting menu- the soup course was a mushroom based soup that tasted like canned mushroom soup- the lamb dish was served with what... More

Came here thanks to a Christmas gift Groupon for the seven course tasting menu, which we complemented with the wine pairing. The place has a bistro-like pleasant ambiance, crowded but not too noisy to have a dinner conversation without raising your voice. We liked the service model. Over the course of the menu we had at least three guys serve... More

Our first visit to Bergamot last week-end met with praise all around. A cream of celery "Matignon" soup was tasty, and preceded a lamb entrée that I really enjoyed. Two of our group chose the Seared Scallops for the main course, and pronounced them wonderful. Excellent service and wine offerings. Convenient on-premises parking a real plus in this Somerville neighborhood.... More
