I haven't been here in literally a few decades so I had no expectations at all. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my dinner. I split the house special salad which was delicious - all types of greens and a very good homemade dressing. They still serve warm popovers with their meals and they were to... More

My wife and I visit PJ's often, usually late in the afternoon and sit at the bar or in the bar at a table. We have always had good food and friendly service. The lunch menu goes until 5pm which is something we like. There is always a special appetizer and great NE specials if we stay for dinner.

We were greeted promptly and seated in a nice booth. A cozy "back in time" feel to this place. The way dining was in the 70's. Eclectic collection of statues and paintings. Waitress was the best. A great meal!

On 11.19.16, took my girlfriend there for dinner. Waitress completely non-attentive. Had to ask other staff to find her. When we finally got her to the table, she spilled a whole glass of wine on me, which drenched my leg. We had to leave and go home to attend to this. I called the restaurant the next day. They said... This place is a bit of a throwback. If you're looking for a place with a trendy, eclectic decor, this is not the place. If you want a bit of old world charm, this it. They have great food. They also serve popovers. A real treat! It's also one of the few places that serves Finnan Haddie.

Went here on a whim on a rainy evening. Great comfort food that was reasonably priced. I had the pork cutlet which was delicious. My wife had the steak tips. She is a picky eater and she thoroughly enjoyed them. Dessert was great. Definitely going back again.

Lovely décor - nice menu. Right on route 3A. Had a lovely meal of chowder, a dozen fresh blue point oysters and a glass of pinot grigio. Nice place for a special occasion.

The lobster special reminded me of the commercial "where's the beef." We went on a Sunday as I love popovers. The popovers were excellent. My chicken dinner was good. Hubby had the lobster spoecial. Presentation really poor. It looked concaved and the stuffing was overcooked (burnt). I do not think that it should have left the kitchen. I wish that... More

PJ's Country House, like many of it's repeat customers, have been around a long time. And that's a good thing! Serving reliably good food in a comfortable, inviting atmosphere always brings me back. A genteel charm, amber lighting and often live music makes the perfect backdrop for a great prime rib, delicate stuffed lobster or savory finnan haddie. Both the... More

We went there with some family members from out of town and sat at the bar in the Pub. The food is good and the servers are all very friendly and attentive. There are lots of choices on the menu, so something for everyone. All of our food was cooked well, and we all enjoyed our meal. The decor is... More
