Big, clean, with a huge menu. All our meals were presented nicely on our plates, a nice touch that you don't see often,. The steak was great, salad was nice and green. Bloody Mary was great. I would definitely go back.

My wife & I had just driven up from NY, The last hour was driving hell, with whiteout conditions. We checked into our hotel & realized neither of us wanted to drive anymore and we both wanted cocktails. We took a cab to the Sylvan St Grill which had been suggested by the desk clerk. it was busy & felt "happening"... not write down our order and we were a party of 4. She had to come bck because she forgot what one of us ordered. When the order came out, the turkey club didn't have mayo on it and barely had turkey, the vegetable quesadilla had onions and it was ordered without onions. This ws mentioned to the waitress and... We're locals and frequent this place, its an ebb and a flow, today we split Beef Fajitas, and side salad, salad was a wilted disappointment and the dressing had 0 flavor, beef was poor quality and simply unacceptable, veggies where cut way too big, some that should have been discarded, the sliced onions where nicely caramelized and yummy, going to... we WERE regulars..... but no more. I couldn't even hear my husband talk as the speakers were sooooo loud. we were surprised to see the bar staff giving free drinks to their friends but never to us regulars....it was equally disgusting to hear the bar staff say nasty things about two respectable adults trying to enjoy their meals, etc.

We often go to Sylvan Street which is about 30 minutes from our home, because the salads, burgers and sweet potato fries are great. Also, they serve on draft our favorite -Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. A week ago, we visited because we had a coupon and ordered the Fried Scallops and BBQ Baby Back Ribs. Both came with sides and... I haven't been here since it was called The Cobblestone (which was my all time favorite place to eat) and we were upstairs for a small wedding reception. The food was OK but the little potatoes were hard. My only real issue was we got 2 alcohol drinks, captain & coke & sloe gin fizz, and it came to $18... More

Had just flown into Boston making our way to Portland the back road method and found this establishment. Found the food to be good and the service was good to. Place had a smell to it but it wasn't overwhelming just odd. I'd go back!

Appetizer came with ketchup instead of marinara sauce, we never got any bread before the meal despite requesting it, the main course was not good and despite it not being eaten and being told it was poor the wait staff asked if we wanted to wrap it up to take home instead of offering to fix it. Overall a terrible... More

The Sylvan Street Grill is a family place with a very large bar area encompassing lots of TVs. So it's loud --- TVs blasting the latest sports, kids yelling and running around & inattentive parents allowing this poor restaurant behavior. The message is don't go here for a quiet dinner, if that's not important to you then the food is... More
