A pleasant spot on the Rockport harbor overlooking the bay. The ambiance is nautical and the food is mostly seafood as one might expect, but there is an ample selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. The clam chowder is heavy on the potatoes but the lobster roll is outstanding. There is a modest selection of wines and beers. Service is... More

We liked this very 'plain' restaurant on the warf. The lobsters were great and the sides were very good.

I looked forward to trying the "world's best chowdah" but was quite unimpressed. Our food in general was just so-so. Our waitress was wonderful.

If you are exploring the artist colong and seaside resort of Rockport, MA and feel hungry for lunch, dinner or dessert you need to go to Ellen's Harborside. A Rockport favorite since the last century, they offer up excellent food with a variety that will meet the needs of your entire entourage (children and fussy teen eaters as well). The... More

Beautiful view of the wharf, the harbor, the small ships and fishing boats. Friendliest waitress, Tina, catered to our every need. We had the award-winning clam chowder, lobster rolls on delicious buns, broiled scallops, pickled beets, string french fried potatoes with NO grease, and butternut squash. Happy customers all around us, raving about the chowder! Clean, comfortable, and make you feel... More

Very good experience with both food and staff. Excellent views while dining. Wish they would serve breakfast again. From hamburgers to lobster, all food was well prepared and hot.

This has been a place that my family has gone to for years. We had the haddock and chips. I don't know how they do it, but it's so light and flaky. The dining room looks out over the harbor. Nothing fancy-schmantzy but oh so good.

We went there for lunch, the place isn't particularly enticing in terms of decor and the food was very average. Would we go there again? No. Would we recommend it? No. That's about all we can say about the place.

Even the fish in the fish tacos was battered and deep fried. Terrible interior. No atmosphere, Christmas lights on the walls. Poor harbor view. Ellen snapped at us when we asked a question. She was kinda scary, not once but twice.

I ordered fried whole-belly clams for my appetizer.. I got 8 tiny, skinny clams for $9. If you can't get good clams at the beach in Rockport, then where can I get them. I hope the Halfway Cafe has them on the menu this summer.
