Came across this place by chance. They were able to seat our larger group quickly. It was very noisy and the food was just okay.

Stopped in for lunch after learning about their spectacular chowdah and we were not disappointed at all. We ordered a cup of Chowder and a lobster bisque and it was excellent. It was just as they said, the Chowder was so thick the spoon was...More

Cabby Shack is a local favorite. Be prepared to pay a good amount for drinks and food. They do have deck and roof seating but they fill up quickly. Make sure to try the creamy chowder!

Looking for a relaxing dinner after day of sightseeing. Wanted to be outside in cool fall air. Band just wrapped up....sat upstairs on rail. Great spot. Good food. Great service. Been here a few times now. Will be back for sure.

Came in with our group of 8 sightseers. Good seafood. Shrimp, salads and nachos. Not fine cuisine but a good fill up. Very noisy weekend crowd. Don’t expect an intimate dining experience. A good stop for a filling bite.

This place started out as a wonderful place right on the bay to go and have lunch or dinner, but has turned into an overpriced tourist trap that really doesn't have to care, because it's right there, you know...on the water. Big deal...We frequented this...More

Pricey but tasty food. Very good service in a large restaurant. Nothing fancy, just good food. Lobster roll was good, clam chowder very tasty and the cod Reuben did not disappoint.

Very friendly and helpful service, but the prices seemed a bit high at this seafood restaurant in relation to what you get. We ordered the large fish and chips to share. The fish was fresh and not too greasy, but the emphasis in the order...More

We heard these folks were knows for their lobster roll and chowder. We had both, and they did not disappoint. I'm not a huge chowder person but my husband got it. It was not "sandy" and gritty as some clam chowders can be and it...More

I'm not sure what you mean, but they are open for business now. And according to their website they open daily at 11 am.

"The CabbyShack, on historic Plymouth harbor, is the spot for gorgeous views, tons of seats under the sun, live music all season long, and seafood so fresh it practically jumps straight from the ocean to the kitchen. The basic boiled lobster weighs in at about a pound and a quarter. But those in the know ask for the super-sized three-and-a-half pound Big Man's Lobster. Equally eye-popping is the 'Big Shack' Roll. It's the biggest lobster roll in town, overflowing from a grilled buttered roll. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the CabbyShack sells thousands of them a week. It's the perfect summer meal, for the perfect summer day. The CabbyShack's menu is loaded with fun summer foods like hand battered onion rings, colossal shrimp cocktail, golden fried clams, and -- believe it or not -- some of the best bar pizzas on the South Shore. But the dish they're most famous for is their award winning clam chowder, served in a fresh baked bread bowl. Rich chowder, big lobster rolls, and fun all summer long, keeps everybody coming back, to the CabbyShack." - Phantom Gourmet
