Found this gem through the wonderful reviews. Food is excellent, service is a bit slow, so go with time to spare.

Came here for dinner after hiking at halibut state park. Absolute local gem. The food was soooooo good! Very homemade and authentic, at really reasonable prices! We got grilled octopus appetizer, yum! Really fresh and drizzled in olive oil. The homemade chicken rice soup was amazing! Made from scratch! The beef tripe and bean stew was out of this world!... My husband and I didn't feel like driving to go out for lunch last Saturday so we walked down the block to a neighborhood grill that had intrigued us since we had moved into the area. It always seemed busy and it smelled really good whenever we walked our dog by. So we finally walked a 100 steps to the... More

We have not been to Portugal, but after eating the seafood stew and the codfish cakes, we will think more seriously about visiting there. As others have noted, the food is excellent and the service comes with a smile. We will definitely go back.

This is a small family run authentic Portuguese restaurant. Excellent food, and service,,, As everything is made to order, it's not a place to go when you are in a rush. Only draw back is not a lot of parking. My favorite is the pork with little neck clams....

I read though the reviews and my interest was peaked. I wouldn't call it quaint and it's not the best food I've ever had, but I'm glad we tried it. It is in the middle of nowhere, but as it's name implies, right next to the train tracks. Parking behind, enter on the corner. You do not go there for... More

I love this place and I would deem it excellent except it might mislead readers not accustomed to a rural, neighborhood European restaurant. The food is excellent but the service is Portuguese slow, which is fine if you're enjoying a bottle of inexpensive, wonderful Portuguese wine. The noisy bar is part of the restaurant and it's often filled with the... More

This is wonderful! The food is superb and the price is fantastic. We ate here on our first night Boston and couldn't be happier, it has set the bar. We will be bark and hope George waits on us again.

This is a small hole in a wall place that serves up 5 star food. I could litterally eat here everyday!

We went on a 2 week trip to Portugal and loved eating in the local restaurants. The Trackside is close to our home and we decided to maybe extend our vacation there. The restaurant was very much like the local places we enjoyed in Portugal. The space was similar to places we visited as were the patrons almost all men.... More
