Due to health issues, I am on a limited diet-Not Your Average Joe's is a place I can go to and enjoy even while "behaving" and (most of the time) sticking to my diet. I ask for no sugar and no salt at the beginning. I can have a great piece of baked fish and (the best thing) choose from... More

This is an excellent casual dining restaurant. There is an eclectic menu, the meals are made to order, and we've never had a bad experience here. We started with the Philly Cheese steak eggrolls. These are one of the better versions of this I have tried. The spicy mustard that accompanies this is a nice touch. I then had enchiladas... More

We happened across this restaurant last year on business and made it the choice for dinner 3 of our 4 night is the area. The menu has a nice selection of American fare, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are modest and the quality is good. It is a popular choice, so you may have to wait, but... More

We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were seated right away and had a little wait for the waitress but sometimes that happens. She served us our drinks right away and we placed our order. It came promptly and was it was delicious. I had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich and my Mom had the Waldorf salad. Both were... More

The bread was hard and barely edible the bartender said oh the bread didnt come out right well if that is the case don't serve it. The bartender was never engaged with her customers. The food was average at best. The couple next to us said they wouldn't be back.

I ordered the chicken quesadilla for lunch with mango salsa. The mango salsa was the perfect accompaniment to the quesadilla. I enjoyed it very much as well as the bread and olive oil dipping sauce that is served before the meal arrives. I handed my meal with the peanut butter thingie that has to be one of the best desserts... More

We stopped in after a hockey game with the kids. We were seated promptly. My kids had the steak tips. Wife had the meatloaf and I had the jambalaya. The steak tips were cooked perfectly but the portion was rather small. The meatloaf was average at best and the portion was very small. The jambalaya was below average. Not real... More

Food at NYAJ's is always delicious, and this visit was no exception. However, dinner for 3 took 90 minutes - both kitchen and server seemed very slow. Nachos and Paella were both exceptionally good

Taking my 80 year old father to lunch is a challenge but being that we were in Norwell had to go to Not Your Average Joe's for their great food and that to die for bread they serve! Was trying to figure out how to get my dad into the restaurant and park my car when the manager Arthur came... More

I had the shrimp tacos. The flavor was wonderful but they used corn tortillas which fell apart. I couldn't pick the tacos as they crumbed in my hands. Suggest that they use flour tortillas so that you can handle the tacos better or just figure that you are going to eat the tacos with a fork. The sangria was awesome
