went here for our anniversary in January. They made us feel special, gave us complimentary snacks and a drink and they were very attentive. It is very crowded all the time, but the noise level is fine.

We live near Sycamore, so we have been there a few times (including New Years Eve). It's a small restaurant in a storefront row of shops, but their food is really exceptional and so is the friendly service. Decor is exposed brick walls and white tablecloths. Sycamore features 'new American' cuisine--not especially ethnic, but interesting and flavorful. They also have... More

No need to head downtown when you can stay in Newton Centre and get yourself a seat at Sycamore. Drinks are creative, appetizers great for sharing and the portions ample. Our friends have been going here a lot and they're starting to be known with the "so nice to see you again!" What's nice is that the service staff is... More

I had dinner with a friend. Food was yummy and the service was also good. They also have a decent collection of wine and cocktails. A great place to hangout in newton, reservations is highly recommended .

There's a reason that Sycamore is the top rated restaurant in Newton! I was lucky to get a reservation for Wednesday night, as it was packed! My meal was exceptional from start to finish. We started off with the roasted brussels spouts with cheese and bacon, the roasted cauliflower and the winter citrus salad, which all tasted delicious and were... More

Service was wonderful and food was good. Not for a very plain eaterbut really interesting food. Atmosphere was like a little European bistro.

The food is just amazing! I had an amazing grilled fluke with a warm cucumber salad and a chicory salad to start. The flavors, while unique, come together well. My only complaint was a very cranky waiter who essentially ignored us. Luckily the food is good enough that we just ignored him too.

Great food. Intimate setting. High priced for Newton. Parking can be somewhat challenging at times but worth it.

The Sycamore is a must try restaurant. I usually reserve it for special occasions. The menu is seasonal and there are always some delicious and creative options to choose from. Sitting at the bar is also fun because the bartenders are knowledgeable, good with recommendations and very friendly. Gets a little busy around the weekends, so make reservations or try... More
