A great local option that is family friendly and has space for larger or private parties. Varied menu with good choices and a solid kids menu too.

old reliable--food always fresh, creative menu. lots of veggie options. not too noisy, either--couples can converse wtihout yelling. unless they want to yell.
Large salad described as containing hearts of palm, shrimp and lump crab meat contained heaps of lettuce,3 tasty shrimp, shreds of a white substance (crab meat?) and maybe 4 small rings of palm. Asked for asparagus to be substituted for tomato and found a few small pieces. Not great for $20. Best for rabbits. Most expensive main course was a $28.... More
When my parents come to town I like to make Brunch easy, they're not necessarily up for navigating city parking and then a long wait for some of the better or trendy Brunch spots in Brighton. So I found The Cottage and liked it specifically for it's convenient location, ample parking, and ability to take reservations. Note: I made my... More
Visitors with friends and had a fantastic table seated at the back of the restaurant which overlooks rte 9. From the greeting to the ambiance, I had high expectations of this restaurant. Wine and beer selection was great, and their dessert's were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, our meals fell flat and was very dissatisfied with what I ate. Flavorless would be... More
We had a very average omelet, accompanies by very fried potatoes and a very fresh biscuit. They had a delicious carrot-ginger juice but in general this is one of the many restaurants that I could recommend to anyone who happens to be within 100 feet of the entrance.
We always think of The Cottage for a special brunch. Selections are varied, fresh, tasty-both breakfast type dishes and lunch specials.
When you're not in the mood to cook and looking for a convenient alternative to "take out delivery", The Cottage is the place to go. It's not a special occasion restaurant nor is it a gourmet restaurant, but the food is reliably solid and there is a wide variety of choice to please even the largest of groups that meet... More
We've been here many times and do like the place. We usually go there with kids and they always take the burgers, which are good. We also came for dinner with friends a few times, and it was good as well. The place is friendly, can accommodate large parties and offers many healthy and yummy choices. Their non-alcohol cocktails are... More
