Sushi Man in Newton offers wonderful Japanese food to eat there or to take out! We visit Sushi Man regularly ever since they opened. Usually we do takeout. Most of the time Miso Soup and a custom order of Sushi. Ordering by phone is easy and the personnel is very friendly. Most often we can pick up the order 20... More

I don't know how inaccurate , perhaps agenda-driven reviews such as the one above manage to stay on the site in light of the fact that they are demonstrably false but it has motivated me to write my own review. Sushiman is hands-down the best sushi joint I've ever been in. Now I haven't been to Japan but since all... More

We live down the street from this small but vibrant sushi spot. Owners Esau and Lucy have grown to know our tastes and always give us the finest service, with a smile. The food here is very good: our favorites include the sashimi salad, bento box, and salmon teriyaki udon. Nice touches include a basket of rice munchies (I knew... More

I had lunch on Wednesday, 12/23, with a friend. This was my first visit whereas my friend is good friends with the owners. We both had one of the Sushi Lunch Specials with Spicy Tuna (inside out maki), Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, Oil Fish, Ebi and one other I forget. I thought all the offerings were high quality and the cut... More

If you want the world's best sweet potato maki and shrimp tempura maki, you must try Sushi Man To Go. Please don't let the appearance of the building or it's location fool you. I'm a hard core raw fish sushi person. But since my first visit to sushi man to go, I now see why people can't get enough of... More

I was at sushi man during the month of February, and I loved it, the sushi was very affordable, and it was good. The people working there, I think the owners, are nice and polite. The position of the restaurant is a little uncomfortable, but I don' t think a restaurant should be judged by the location. Next time I... More

The location is very awkward and you feel like your walking into a place that is temporary. However, the people who work there are very nice and accommodating

This is a low cost sushi place, perhaps catering to the need of Asian students that do not have much to spend (most Asian students have a lot to spend though!). It is not particularly clear, taste and quality of fish is suspect a bit and just overall misses the mark. It is next to an even cheaper/greasier Chinese restaurant... More
