Atmosphere is of an old new england tavern. Candle light lit lamps, very quaint. The owner met me as I entered, a little disheveled, because we were late for our reservation time. She was very pleasant and understanding. They sat us right away. The food was excellent. A prix fixe meal for Mother's Day. I ordered a salad that had... More

For starters, make your reservations well in advance to insure you won't be disappointed. Then, make the reservation early enough in the evening to allow for a 3-4 hour dining experience if you are planning a tasting menu. And make no mistake, the tasting menu is the event you should plan for. From the seared medallion of fois gras to... More

What a wonderful surprise this little place was. Stayed for five nights while visiting the Berkshire's and Limerock raceway. The Restuarant is exceptional, the owners helpful, and the location beautiful. Not too many choices to eat out there, so we were happy to come back after a long day and have a great meal. Must make reservations, the place is... More

My husband and I ate at this restaurant 3 years ago on our trip to the berkshires and loved it. We went down again last month for my birthday and it was extremely good. I loved all the food and the service is excellent. What I love the most is that they treat their customers the way you should be... More

It's own description and other reviewers get it right. This simple and stylish eatery makes you wish more restaurants used candlelight to light tables from above. The Chef/Owner and skilled staff makes you wish other restaurants had his their enthusiasm for service and satisfying meals. We enjoyed a Prix Fixe dinner there and then the breakfast included in the overnight... More

We were only able to get an 8 PM reservation - late for us. But we enjoyed a lovely multi course Thanksgiving dinner. And it was all by candlelight as there is no electricity in the dining rooms. Quite a lovely ambiance. We had a lovely bottle of wine from a very expansive wine list. The only compliant I have... More

The reviews say it all.... carefully restored inn, lovely rural village, the dining area only lit by candles and the fireplace, first-rate service and last but not least tantalizing food to all the senses. It doesn't get any better than this.

You enter a beautifully restored 1760 building. There is a full bar straight back, the dining areas are in the front of the building on either side. The first thing you will notice there are no electric lights in the dining areas. They are totally lit by candles and chandeliers. It is a little strange at first, but you really... More

This restaurant is connected to the Inn where we were staying, but the restaurant is open to the public. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and if you are in the area it is worth the trip. A bit pricey but very, very good.
