This is right out of the 1960s! Almost entirely veggie but farm fresh, delicious food. Great brunches and lunches. This place is a trip (but no acid!) Service is slow so bring your patience; certainly NOT fast food.

We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday in May. We have eaten here before, with some waiting, good availability of seating, reasonable food. This day was miserable. It started with a solid 20 minutes in line to order food. Ordering went quickly. We found a table easily, but that is the last good part about our lunch. We waited... More

Stopped in for a quick bite and coffee on Saturday morning. The place was packed which is a good sign. Line moved along. Great place for good food and coffee. Would highly recommend if you are traveling through the area. Have large table to accommodate a bigger party as well as outside seating. Stopped in twice on my visit to... More

Get there early for lunch or there will be a line out the door. Healthy food, lots to eat and great choices. They roast their own coffee as well

I go to Esselon Café whenever I can get there and have gotten friends to love it too. It is a family restaurant, great food, fair prices nice atmosphere, inviting place where you can spend the day sipping their terrific coffee, or dining on their terrific foods. They thought of everything--cozy atmosphere, garden to sit in and eat in good... More

Esselon has a great atmosphere and offers much more than coffee. They have a menu that offers sandwiches, salads, soups, daily specials and a kids menu all fresh and locally sourced. Fresh baked breads and cakes satisfy your sweet cravings. I love a coffee shop that still serves your coffee in a ceramic mug!

I know they serve more than breakfast, but this is one of the go-to places to meet my friends for breakfast or lunch. Very informal--you may share a big table or not. A little loud inside but the porch is wonderful in all weather. And in the warmer months, sitting amongst the flowers or under the trees is a treat.... More

This cafe has always been a favorite! The staff are friendly and although it is always busy the service is wonderful. The food is fresh --they have vegetarian and vegan choices.

The cappuccino is ALWAYS good, artful barista. Except for its being very busy midday so I avoid the place 11-1. The gardens are always cool, tranquil and the interesting plantings are always so well cared for. Amazing how peaceful it is to sip a cup of coffee only a (?) 100 ft from a 4 lane busy road !

We went here for an early Saturday dinner! Had the Lamb Gyro - so fresh and tasty. Shared the Pumpkin Risotto appetizer - very very good. Had the Tea's - very good. The coffee smelled amazing, have to go back for that.
