Stopped in for breakfast after being referred by a local. We were not disappointed. Food was good and definitely got the small town feel. Staff was very friendly. Also couldn't resist picking up some chocolates at the store before we left.

If you want quick good food with atmosphere and nice service, than Willow Rest is it. Fresh doesn't even begin to describe how amazing the food tastes. The bacon used on their Caesar salad is to die for. Don't visit Gloucester without making the trip to the far side of town to eat at least one meal at Willow Rest.

I live in the culinary capital of SEAsia but count the days to when I can return each summer for a breakfast burrito and bottomless coffee at WRest. It's the American store of my childhood with friendly neighbors and great food. The freezer broke down for nearly a week when I was there, news that made the front page of... More

We needed a tasty lunch to bring down to my youngest sister waiting for us in Marblehead Harbor. My Rockport sister said the Willow Rest. Great choice!! We got 5 different sandwiches and all were delicious. I'm not one for sweets but the crumbly date bar was amazing too. The breads and rolls, the ingredients.... just a great break from... More

We were staying in Gloucester, and we found this on Foursquare. So happy we did!! The cool little place has a full menu, doesn't serve deep fried anything, and when you order you go to the coolers and choose your drink, and then walk around and choose whatever else you may like! The offer organic fruit and veggies, organic beverages,... More

Wanted a place away from hustle-bustle of Gloucester and Rockport, and found this wonderful place on our scenic drive around Annisquam. Great lunch variety and quite yummy.

We needed a lunch place between trips to Beauport Sleeper McCann Historic House and Hammond Castle. Time was tight and good food was important. Willow Rest was recommended and was perfect. Parking right outside the entrance, 3 picnic tables and a short distance to Hammond Castle. I had the best BLT ever with lots of tasty smoked bacon on a... More

Willow Rest is a prototypical average restaurant. Service was slow, even in mid-afternoon. The spicy gazpacho was excellent, but the hamburger was tasteless.

This is a real find. A breakfast, lunch, and take out place. Even has limited amount of produce and select gourmet foods.
