Great "old school" New England style tavern. Chowder, shrimp cocktail and Duxbury Basket fantastic. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had dinner at the Milepost last week. The menu is large, the bar well stocked, food and service very good. I had Clams Casino, they were really good. My husband had Chicken Parmesan he really liked the chicken and sauce with the addition of a little more parmesan cheese. My son loved the clam chowder, which was the traditional thick... More

This restaurant has been around for many years. The food is always consistent with a great variety. Great for both lunch and dinner. You can choose to sit at the bar, tables in the bar or the dining room. Waitstaff has all been there a long time and can be counted on to make your dining experience a pleasure.

Back for the first time in a few years, and was as good as I remembered. French onion soup still excellent, but requires a small meal after as it is filling. Excellent warm rolls. Broiled salmon very good. It was a bit loud, but it was very busy.

Lunch with the guys several times a year there ---always good service, good food. Very comfortable atmosphere: not noisey, relaxed. Not gourmet, just great.

Wife and I like going to the Milepost because it's simple , quaint , old fashioned, great staff and great food . Enjoy it enough that we had to take my Mother in law there to share the experience.

This restaurant has been around for a long time, but I've only visited a few times. During my last visit I ordered the broiled scallops and my Wife ordered the lobster casserole. For what it's worth I love scallops and my Wife loves lobster, but my scallops were obviously overcooked to a point they were chewy and my Wife's Lobster... More

I have learned that people in this area are most interested in quantity of food served NOT QUALITY. If liquor is provided they consider it a good restaurant.

I have not been here in probably 20 years, But I will say it was as good as I remember it . It was a bit dated but that being said I like the rustic feel anyway. We were seated a few minutes early which is rare for a restaurant, service was awesome, No rushing us on ordering waitress was... More
