Always enjoy staying at CBI even in the off season. The ocean view rooms are wonderful. Had an excellent dinner at The Sacred Cod. The staff could not have been nicer. The car service into town is also a great perk.

The restaurant was suggested to us by locals at Plymouth. The Inn is quaint and welcoming but the restaurant is dark and the service very slow. I had the fried green tomato BLT, the bacon was all fat and barely cooked. All I ate of it was one green tomato. Four of us had lunch and none of us enjoyed... More

We had dinner at Stars. It was pricey but the food was 5 stars. I had the duck and it was the best I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. My friend had the steak with bone marrow vinegarette and it was the best steak sh has ever eaten. The room is a little dark but the food was on... More

For a few years now I've wanted to stay the CBI. But every time I've tried for a reservation online.....no luck! So, while on a visit to Cape Cod with friends, I was finally able to get there, or, at least to the ocean view porch for a cocktail. Now this living, having a drink (and yes, it was a... More

This was our second visit to Chatham Bars Inn. Even if you don't stay there, you must have a drink on the veranda overlooking the cove and out to the ocean. They have heaters and blankets to hand out but ALWAYS take a sweater or jacket. CBI is an absolutely beautiful gem. We were there mid afternoon and split oysters... More

The atmosphere is breath taking and the food was spectacular . We were there on the evening of the full moon which was truly amazing! Our service was however absolutely horrible!! So bad that we shortened our stay there.

We ate in the Sacred Cod, the service was horrific, it took a long time to be served. Our food was expensive and very disappointing. The most "unamerican" service we have encountered. My husbands batter on his fish and chips was inedible and we couldn't get anyone's attention to tell them. We were offered a complimentary dessert when our waiter... More

Go for the view not the food. Stars is over priced and under delivers. Portions are minuscule and prices are sky high! Higher than Nantucket which is super pricey, but better food. I had the sirloin which I ordered medium rare and came well done. I sent it back It was super tough both times, although the flavor of the... More

Loved our recent visit to the outdoor restaurant at The Chatham Bars Inn. Simply lovely in every way. The veranda is inviting and beautiful with a classic cod water view and excellent service. Service was attentive and gracious but never haughty. I was impressed by their stack of lovely blanket shawls should any of the guests feel chilly outside (one... More

We found the view, the setting, the landscaping breathtaking. It is a romantic Hotel for a special occasion. Service is wonderful and we are still enjoy being spoiled. It is not a modern hotel so our room and many others are on the smaller side. The water view makes up for it and the balcony is more like a terrace... More
