Everyone told us to go to a Legal Sea Food restaurant. It was good, but I wouldn't say the best sea food meal I ever had. I ordered the surf (lobster) and turf. The filet was done just right, but the lobster was lobster. The...More

I first heard about Legal Sea Foods 15 years ago from a manager who visited Boston for a conference. As this was my first trip to the Boston area, I made it a point to find one. I love fried clams and mussels almost as...More

It is our best seafood restaurant so far and we went to the Braintree on as well as the one on Boston Harbor, both very recommended

The food was good but not great, the atmosphere was noisy and way more effort was spent by the servers trying to up-sell us than actually providing good service. It felt like she's just come out of a sales meeting where they rev'ed her up...More

Legals South Shore is one of my favorite Legals location. The food at all Legals is great - love the fish chowder and the fishermans grilled assortment. My wife's favorite is Mark's special - shrimp with cheese, brocolli, and rice - simple but delicious. Have...More

Have dined here many times & was never disappointed in any Sea Food dish. They also offer take out at a separate window in the Mall. Ate at bar on most recent visit. Quick, efficient & friendly service along with big screen TV's - but,...More

You can't help but enjoy your meal at Legal Sea Foods. I do believe they're a bit overpriced, though.

We have been sitting at the bar where they prepare the food and you can have a look at it (Clams and Oysters). Excellent service even at lunchtime.

My meal was excellent. Fresh, imaginative, tasty. The dinner rolls were hot and fresh right out of the oven. Our waitress was superb.

Description
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. Get reeled in to our U-shaped bar or wood-paneled dining room. Those traveling to and from Cape Cod on Route 93 are known to make a stopover for seafood. And not to be missed: two monumental fish tanks in our restaurant, one fresh water and one salt water. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
