Don't miss this gem. Crab chowder is a must with giant pieces of sweet fresh corn and lumps of fresh picked crabmeat. Affordable drinks and fun, very casual atmosphere. Local servers aim to please. One could not ask for more! Wish they had been open on my cycling trip last weekend. They close in winter and open for the season... More

How many places do they dump your food in a pile on the table and encourage you to eat with your hands? Crabs, chicken, corn on the cob, and hush puppies make up the "All you can eat" special. There are daily specials of fresh fish and steak too. Go casual and expect a long night. Maybe even hear the... More

Went to Red Roost during the last weekend before as we have done for the past 30 years. Service was good and our waitress was very personable, but the crabs were very disappointing. The first few were really good, then they progressively got worse. They almost reminded me of crabs that were cold, then reheated. They were mushy and not... More

My wife and I have been going to the Red Roost whenever we are in the area after stumbling upon this gem. The service is great the staff is friendly and food is great. This time around my wife had the Blacked Scallop appetizer followed by their Fried Chicken with Baked Beans and Coleslaw. I had the cajun spiced Ahi... More

My wife and I chose Red Roost to celebrate our 33rd anniversary and we enjoyed a great meal. Our server, Jackie was great, attentive, friendly and she took good care of us. Thanks Jackie! The crabs were heavenly, well seasoned and heavy. The side were good, the corn was sweet and the chicken still the best. Still our favorite summer... More

For some reason, I was expecting a "hole in the wall" type of place. We drove almost literally in the middle of nowhere, with only 1 or 2 cars or trucks around and not going here...to find a parking lot full of cars (really just like a previous reviewer said). I almost couldn't find a spot, but luckily people were... More

I haven't been to the Red Roost in over 5 years, and my previous experiences were top rate. I was disappointed with this visit. We took my nephew and his family to dinner - arrived on a Thursday at 5:30 when they opened and spent $400 for 6 adults and 4 kids. Each of us ordered an "All You Can... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I will say that we do seat may ten top tables/parties and even larger parties each and every day. We would have wished you would have declined your seating arrangement when sat by our hostess if you were not comfortable. Or even after and began to feel uncomfortable once the... More

We went for a leisurely Sunday drive along the Eastern shore, and saw a review of the Red Roost along the way. Google navigation took us to the front door, but otherwise, good luck in finding it. After miles of deserted roads, we turn into a parking lot with maybe 60-70 cars! Service was top notch, and the food (except... More

The waitress was very nice and pleasant. The food was awful. My wife ordered Corn Crab Bisque and I ordered Maryland Crab Soup. My wife's soup tasted like it was loaded with sugar, not good. My crab soup was like potato and tomato stew. Easier to eat with a fork than a spoon. It was so thick and tasteless I... More

The Red Roost remains a destination for a great family or friendly Crab Feast. The restaurant is located about 15 miles from the town of Salisbury MD and is worth the drive out. You will find friendly service and fabulous steamed crabs served on brown paper covered tables. Don't miss out on the corn on the cobb and the Delmarvalous... More
