Admittedly this will be a mixed review because the food at Mrs. K's still continues to impress, generally. However, on this recent occasion service seemed to have become a lower priority. We have loved Mrs. K's as a convenient meeting place for us to reunite with friends from Annapolis. We may have to try someplace else. We arrived around 5:30... More

We went there with a friend who wanted to 'give it one more try' (after a bad experience a few months ago). She thought it was very cozy and had a lot of atmosphere. The bar and dining in the basement is attractive, but we ate upstairs. It was a Thursday night, place was mostly empty. After ordering, we chatted... More

As someone who loves old historic taverns and restaurants I have been meaning to visit for ages. It did not dissapoint. The garden is beautiful, and entering is a step back in time. All sorts of antiques live within the restaurant, along with framed magazine articles dating back to the 40's. The food itself was great- spicy shrimp had lots... More

Celebrations, or just a gathering the Saturday or Sunday brunch is a must for folks in the area. Rich not only in the quality of the food, and selections but also in its landmark history, this restaurant is truly exquisite. I have visited many times over the years and have always had an excellent experience.

Dined with a group of 16. Service was very slow. Entrees for 14 diners arrived 25 minutes before mine did although I only ordered a chicken Caesar salad. My dessert (which included ice cream) arrived at the same time as my husband's did although it was only 5 minutes after my entree was served, so the ice cream was completely... More

We hadn't been here for a long time and joined friends for dinner. The food was super, especially the fried oysters. The service was decent, although it seemed they were a little short-handed.

I treated myself to the Sunday brunch, it was delicious! There's a wide variety of different dishes from seafood to soul food and dessert: mussels, pasta, crab cakes, macaroni and cheese, bread pudding, corn bread, etc. A complimentary mimosa is included in the price of the Brunch buffet. The service was great. I would definitely recommend a reservation, the restaurant... More

The atmosphere at Mrs. Kay's can't be beat, from the wine cellar dining areas to the cozy upstairs dining rooms. it is truly a charming place to have dinner and the food is very good. If you like crab cakes, this is the place for you. The Sunday brunch is a must have if you are in the area. I... More

Went here after visiting the Pope John Paul shrine. On a Saturday for lunch. The menu was the brunch menu but you could order separately. We enjoyed the deviled eggs. I had the Caesar salad and my wife had oyster hollandaise with poached eggs. She loves her meal and I was pleased with mine. It's an old house but not... More

One of the best oldie worldy and quaint restaurants that I have been too. You can eat in your grandmothers dining room so to speak. Or dine in the fabulous wine cellar.
