I haven't been here in a while, so I was looking to see if the restaurant was as good as it was a few years ago. The answer: probably better. We were a group of 11, and had a reservation. There were two wait staff that assisted us - and they were terrific. The service was perfect - the food... More

I have eaten at two other Clyde's restaurants, but this was our first time at the Tower Oaks Lodge. Like every visit to a Clyde's restaurant, the service and food is high-quality, but I loved the atmosphere most of all. Quieter and cozier.

We really there for brunch this morning with my son, DIL, grand daughter and wife. Great atmosphere and decor, feels like a mountain lodge in one of the western national parks. We were seated immediately. Greeting was warm. Service was excellent. I had the Reuben Sandwich and my wife had the Rockfish. We were both well satisfied with our selections.... More

Enjoy going to Clyde's but now I see it is a limited menu if you don't eat or want pork or bacon. We end up eating the same things now because so much has bacon and pork.

The Clyde's chain builds a theme for each restaurant*. The Tower Oaks embraces a mountain lodge, complete with woody walls, sporting equipment and wildlife. Large windows looking out to trees and deep coloring gives a comfortable vibe. Go for brunch - and reserve as this place is popular! Best if you arrive with patience, for, once seated, it occasionally takes... More

While many people know Clyde's as a multi restaurant company, you don't feel that vibe when you walk in. Having been to other restaurants in the same company, I can tell you that they are all different. Without a doubt, when I come here, I always get oysters. They are always delicious and always fresh and they have a great... More

I've been dining at Clyde's restaurants and they have always been consistently great from food quality, presentation and service. I recommend that you make reservations and be on time with exception of Monday's when its not crowded at all. The Chevy Chase Clydies is awesome as well with a small motorized train on top of the wall that moves around... More

I have been to most of Clyde's restaurants and I love every one of them. The service, the selections, the consistent attention to quality both in the decor of the restaurants as well as the food always keeps this place a winner. And their prices are always in line with the kind of place you just have to keep going... More

This place is completely splendid. The interior is a cross between an Alpine lodge and a ballroom with paneling, paintings, chandeliers, and statues greeting each hungry visitor. I ordered the Rockfish, which was tender enough to cut with my fork. It almost fell apart before I even needed to! Try the starters - the the deep fried pickles were great.

Had lunch with my elderly parents. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Crab cake sandwich was top notch. Side dishes were also excellent. Desserts were fabulous. Could have been loud if busier, but not bad for conversation at the later time.

Description
Tucked away in a 22-acre nature preserve just fifteen minutes from Georgetown, Tower Oaks Lodge has the look and feel of an authentic Adirondack lodge. Divided into four dining rooms, the Lodge contains a vast collection of art and artifacts such as vintage canoes and row boats, and antique saddles and trophies. Chef Jeffery Eng, formerly of 1789 Restaurant, presides over the kitchen team featuring a menu of great American saloon-style food. The Lodge offers the freshest seafood, locally-grown seasonal vegetables, pastas, and salads, as well as Clyde's classics such as cheeseburgers and chili.
