I have been going to Captain Pat's Seafood Restaurant for the past 8 years whenever I visit southern Maryland. The restaurant staff is great, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is light and casual. The seafood choices are outstanding, especially the Maryland Crab Cakes or platters and their soups. The restaurant is reasonably priced but the food makes it... More

Arrived to a packed house! Many locals came for the crab legs and steamed crabs- all you can eat tonight. I got the crab cakes, good flavor, I ordered broiled, the outer crust was a little crunchy. The coleslaw and potato salad were excellent.

Small restaurant but great seafood. Large portions. Great service. Easy parking and good location. Close to military base and not far from St Mary's College.

You can get a good All You Can Eat family FUN date night in this old but consistent establishment. Could use a little face-lift but the food is always satisfying. Try the Crab Imperial Stuffed Large Shrimp and do not forget the oyster soup!.

I read the other posts, and was pretty excited to go to this place. So I recommended it to the others, and we went here for dinner. Ordered the broiled seafood platter to get a good sample of various dishes. There was a longer wait than what you would expect, because it wasn't that busy. Anyhow, our dishes came out,... More

Really enjoyed the boiled shrimp here. The taste of the food is really nice but the place is needing a bit of updating.

Ive ordered from this establishment for decades now and I truly cant say one bad word about this place. Fast, delicious and its not to pricey so if your looking for excellent seafood you can either eat in or order seafood for take out. My family and I order at least 1 every two weeks when they have specials. FYI:... More

I had not been to Capt Pats in about a year, and not because of any problems previously- just that it wasn't on my radar. After trying unsuccessfully to get a seat at a local sports bar on a Sunday evening when the redskins were playing, we ended up at Captain Pats with friends for our weekly dinner outing. All... While working in the area this week we had a chance to eat dinner here after several colleagues recommended it. It is a lot of food - fresh and very good. I had the broiled seafood combination and it was great. Everyone eating there seemed to be enjoying their meal! I highly recommend it you like a "local" place. I... More

If you love seafood and are in St. Mary's county - eat at Captain Pat's. Excellent crab soup and crab cakes. Yummy
