It's been a few years since I have been to this RH&B. If you read me, i love great service, paired with good food, a winner every time. The food was fast, good and a nice atmosphere. My ribs were perfect, sides hit the spot and service was tops.

I was disappointed when my food came to the table and they brought out a basket of bread. I was told they were not making cornbread today. My briskett was mushy and tasteless. I will not be returning.

Been coming here for years. Hadn't been in a while so met a friend for dinner here. Had the usual pulled chicken with beans, Cole slaw and hush puppies. Good as usual. Friend had pulled pork, potato salad, beans all of which were good as well. Other member had 1/2 portion of chicken nachos which were excellent. Prices reasonable, service... More

Used to be the only BBQ around now there are lots of choices but still my favorite! There rolls are to die for, much prefer to get a platter the "roll" which is more like a huge bread stick. Great sauces and as well. Service is fabulous and efficient.

This has been the best BBQ restaurant in Laurel for as long as I can remember. The staff is always friendly, and the food is always very good. My personal favorite is the sausage, and I typically get a 3 meat dinner or a combination of wet/dry ribs. All the sides are good but the potato salad is a stand-out.... More

Decent food but not great. I had the chicken and it was too salty. The veggies were ok but a little too soft and mushy. Not my choice again.

RH&B in Laurel has wonderful food from the pulled pork and ribs to the potato salad and hush puppies. The service is friendly and it's fun to look at the 1950s memorabilia on the wall. The kids menu has chicken tenders, mac n cheese, and grilled cheese. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant. The only reason I rated... More

I usually go to the location off Rt.50 after the Bay Bridge on the way home from a weekend at the beach. Although sometimes I go to the one in Old Laurel, MD There's always a wait for a table but it's worth it. I enjoy getting the "dry" ribs and add sauce at the table for an intense barbecue... More

Description
Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The late Lee Atwater was an amateur blues musician and political figure that managed George H.W. Bush's successful race for the presidency. These men were friends who longed for authentic Memphis-style barbeque and great blues music. Unable to find that combination anywhere in the Washington, DC area they decided the only way to get it done was to open a restaurant of their own. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. This radio show launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and broadened the audience for artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray and Rufus Thomas. Red Hot & Blue Dine-In, Take-Out and Catering. Hickory-smoked Memphis-style BBQ, Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken, Seafood, Full-service Bar, in a Family-friendly atmosphere with a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality!
