Had the crab cakes. Luke warm but curiously over cooked and dry. Accompanying sauce was nothing special and did not really match the food. Wine was very average. Disappointed evening I am afraid.

I want to like this restaurant, I really do. My sweetheart has lovingly endured two visits even though it is not his style. The vibe is decent. The first time we went, around lunchtime in the fall, we sat in the back, quieter room with a lovely view of the town and bride + water. We each ordered a different... More

Gave it a try 4 times and each time was worse than the trip prior. Wait staff was not friendly at all. Food was average at best. One of the times I ordered the special Chicken and Waffles and the waffles tasted like frozen Eggo waffles. I really want to like it there and I think the entertainment is good,... More

Went for an early dinner at Laurrapin yesterday. We've been avoiding the place for a while because of the strong smell of gas on previous visits. Sure enough, we smelled gas as soon as we walked in. Asked the hostess about it and she said they knew about it and had it checked out - no gas leaks, just an... More

We met friends from New Jersey at the Laurrapin Grille. We loved the restaurant. The food was so delicious. The servers were the best. We will go again.

We were new to the area and this place was recommended to us for lunch. Pleasantly surprised by a few different type of burgers they had to offer and according to our friendly bartender we made the right selections! The food was excellent with well balanced flavor in the burgers. Will definitely put Laurrapin on my list for future visits... More

I had sweet potato fries and a burger which were both delicious. I felt the food was good value for the money.

I usually visit either the Tidewater Grill or MacGregor's when passing exit 89 on I-95. Laurrapin Grille was a last-minute decision for a change and I am very glad I made the choice. I had the Monday special flat iron steak with purple Peruvian potatoes and seasonal vegs. The steak was cooked perfectly. All very good. Now, I have a... More

The Laurrapin is a nicely appointed sports bar. We sat in a back room so we could easily converse with our guests. Seating was prompt and service good. The menu try's to promote locally grown products, but the prices reflect a bigger city. Twenty dollars for a small bowl of beef stew seems out of line. The French dip was... More

We enjoyed a surprising and unexpectedly good dinner here, especially after our disappointing lunch at the Tidewater Grille. To be fair the decor wouldn't have enticed us in had we not been recommended the place by the owner of the Washington Street Books and Music shop (a fabulous store with an impressive military section, film selection and movie memorabilia), but...
