Few things are as a enjoyable as arriving at a bar/dining establishment via water. This restaurant delivers with a great beer list and a good variety of food options. Nice seating overlooking the Chester River makes this a great destination. Staff is always super friendly and eager to assist. Food has been better lately to boot!!

Regatta was delayed with no wind, so we were happy to locate this spot to pass the time. They let us bring our dog on the deck and got her water - very nice! We were excited from the menu but disappointed on the delivery. Service was a bit slow. Appeared that chats with locals were the flavor of the... More

8 of us were there for an early dinner on a Saturday night. It took way to long to be served our first drinks...and then some of our appetizers (soup) was lukewarm. Needed to send it back for heating up ...and waited .... When dinners finally arrived.. Steak was not done 'well' enough, penne pasta w/seafood had cold uncooked seafood... More

We had a delicious lunch. The cream of crab soup was yummy as was the crab imperial and beet salad. The restaurant is situated right on the Charles River, and outdoor dining is available. Lovely spot-- good food-- beautiful view!

Have been there many times and never fails to please. Like that they offer a choice of smaller portions.

The restaurant was very crowded due to the Downrigging & Classic Boat Show - should have made a reservation! We ended up sitting at the bar - which was fine with us. Parents ordered the oyster appetizer - an assortment of cooked oysters - phenomenal! Then we all ordered the fried oysters. Believe me - you won't go wrong ordering... More

Fish whistle is a relatively large seafood restaurant and bar in Chestertown. Service was good, and the food was ok, but not great. We went for dinner- had a party of 10- and enjoyed ourselves. I had cod- a nice piece of fish but drowning a bit in butter sauce. The charred crab Caesar salad was generous in terms of... More

One calm summer night my beloved and I sat on the Fish Whistle terrace overlooking the Chester River. After living on both coasts, we had been searching the Eastern Shore for the right environment to settle down to a better pace. I asked her then--How do we beat this? Fish Whistle: Best of Bay cuisine, informal atmosphere, solid service. The... More

This is a great restaurant. We liked the oyster assortment and really loved the crab salad with romaine and roasted tomatoes. The hush puppies could have been better.

The cream of crab soup was outstanding. Fish tacos wee fresh and lively. We had a younger waiter who left a bit to be desired. Beer ran dry more than once as too did my wife's glass of wine. Overall, a great place to eat.
