Very nice establishment with good food and entertainment, it gets very busy at dinnertime. Would suggest sitting inside if it's over 90.

Very popular, with good food. Right on the river, and you can sit outside at the bar. It's also a wedding location, so things can get busy and hecticon the weekends, which can affect the service.

Yes this was the site of the Dockside restaurant from the 80s and early 90s. The Chesapeake Inn opened in 1996.

My wife and son want to take me there for Father's Day 2015 but we are undecided and have questions. Will we be able to make reservations today 6/17 for 3 or 4 or are we too late? Our first choice was the brunch and to sit outside but we would consider later and inside dining if we get the right vibe.

Thank you Cheryl, we have decided on "The Granary" - I will post a review - although the weather report is not great for Sunday, we have reservations in the dining room by a window. We will enjoy the scenery rain or shine.
