Just had the excellent "catch of the day," a white fish with scallops and other garnishes. Exactly what I wanted. Another feature that I really appreciate. The music was background music and easy to listen to. I was alone so I wasn't trying to make conversation but I hate places where the "music" -- which is often unfamiliar to me... More

In an area of overrated restaurants, Persimmon stands out. Everything we've had over the years is really good. Prices aren't ridiculous. Never a rush on eating--able to enjoy conversation with friends. We tried 4 mains that we had never had before--fresh catch, rack of lamb, raw tuna and chicken. Highly recommend all. Chocolate pudding and apple crisp were delicious. Tim... More

This is the nicest restaurant we could find one evening after meetings, and my smart phone recommended it as we were on the block. We wanted a pleasant place to have a nice meal and talk about our activities of the day. so, finding a place with many other customers and quiet atmosphere for hearing each other was terrific. The... This is an odd place. It has very much a strip mall feel to it, but the menu is and their intentions don't match. We started off with one server and was transitioned to another with no explanation. Food frankly wasn't that memorable, though the menu tried to be modern and interesting.

The ENTIRE menu was on RW! Fabulous. We had the duck confit salad and fried oysters. Our mains were short ribs and rack of lamb. For dessert, we each had chocolate cream pie "martinis". Wine was very good, as was the service. Free parking in back because it was Saturday. They exhibited the true spirit of RW.

The exterior is very unassuming, but you will enjoy both the food and the service. The food and service were on a par with an upscale, high-dollar restaurant. It was a very pleasant surprise. The menu was very complete with a great selection and variety which seemed to be carefully chosen. Again, don't the decor or exterior of the place... More

A delicious gem in Bethesda, Persimmon is not to be missed. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. The menu is a foodie's delight and a decent wine list is a fine accompaniment. Food preparation and presentation is top-notch and a sight to behold. I enjoyed the smoked trout spring rolls for the starter and the braised... More

The dining is an experience. The prices do not reflect the size of the portions. We felt well fed with well prepared gourmet food.

They claim they offer happy hour. We called prior to heading over and they said yes we have happy hour. Upon arrival, they said happy hour is only at bar and the eight seats were taken. The employees did nothing to accommodate us. We walked out. Sorry but we will never return. Ever. Shame on you for running a sham.... More

We had tuna and avocado tartar as starter, a unique and very tasty dish. For the main course we had halibut with cauliflower and asparagus in sauce. A delicious dish. Also the salmon was excellent. The food was presented very nicely and service was great. Highly recommended!
