Nice visitor center. I got the map adventures Acadia map there. It was only 5.50. We were there in the rain so I'm not sure how busy it is when it's a nice day.

The staff was so helpful and told us exactly where to see seastars and other sights. They were patient and spent time explaining the park and how to get around

Nice hikes. One way loop road so don't go too far. You can't turn around. We did the loop hike near the visitor center and by the water. Good short hike for young family.

We enjoyed several days at Schoodic Point. We climbed Schoodic Head by the Anvil Trail. Easy hike with a few slightly steep areas. Great view of Acadia National Park, and surrounding harbors. Beautiful spot for a picnic on the ocean or bike ride.

Beautiful setting overlooking the harbor. Out of this world fudge, pastries, coffee and sandwiches. A great place to stop going to or returning from Schoodic Point.
