I was in Skowhegan for business and was taken here by a friend. I was a bit skeptical about pub food. Boy was I wrong! I had the best and freshest Cajun Salmon I have ever had. The food was very tasty and not over seasoned or salted. I'm not a fan of live music but the night I was... More

The freshest dinner in town, straight from the farm to your plate. This was a rare gem, but recently shutdown. Very sad to see it not open. Hopefully this summer it will reopen!

There are not enough stars for me to properly share my enthusiasm for what was quite possibly the best breakfast of my life. Farm fresh, farm to table eggs, carrots, potatoes, toast, and hash browns like I have never had. The meat was tender, flavorful, made with love and worth another 4 hour drive. There are more than 30 farms... More

We have been to the Pickup Cafe on several occasions with both friends and family. Each time the food has been excellent. I love that the food comes from local farms. It has a limited menu and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with limited days and hours. My only caution is to make sure you have time. Although... More

Went to dinner and really wanted a Reuben, asked the waitress if they could make it with what they had in the kitchen. The chef said yes and it was the best one I have ever had.

This restaurant is tucked out of the way in the center of town and is worth looking for. We had breakfast here and enjoyed the experience. It's a small place with only a few tables inside and this contributes to a homey ambiance. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. They are offered with a choice of meat, but you're missing... More

We have eaten here twice, once for Saturday breakfast and then again on Wednesday for their wood fired oven pizza night. Both meals were excellent! This place is the best thing to happen to Skowhegan in a long time. We especially enjoyed the Pickup specialty pizza with bacon, caramelized onions, and fresh corn. The dough was super fresh and made... More

The food was very good, but the choices were limited. I didn't find it more pricey then other restaurants in the area. The waitress was very nice!!
