After hiking Jordan Pond, this is a must see stop and we are certainly glad we visited. This restaurant is well known for its popovers and this is exactly what we ordered, along with a cup of lobster chowder and market stew. These soups were...More

We stopped here while in Acadia National Park. The popovers were great. I had the lobster stew which was more bisque than stew, so I wasn't delighted. My husband had the shepherds pie which he liked. A little pricey but they know you are a...More

We were disappointed during our visit to Acadia National Park to find the surrounding restaurants were decidedly ordinary, at best. Unfortunately, the much touted Jordan's Pond House, with its long waiting lines, was not even up to those standards. While the shepherds pie was OK,...More

While exploring Acadia National Park, we stopped here for lunch, having heard all about their amazing popovers. We had to wait about 45 minutes, so we explored the area in the meantime; however, keep in mind that you cannot wander with the electronic table pager....More

We were here the end of September.....I would hate to think what it would have been like at the height of the tourist season. We arrived well before noon but waited nearly an hour for a table. The indoor seating area appeared to be somewhat...More

The views and service outweigh the prices. This is a great setting to enjoy an afternoon break with the famous tea/coffee/beer and pop-overs. So sit back wand do not be in a hurry since most times there is a wait. The popovers with strawberry jam...More

Tea and popovers at Jordan House are not to be missed! Expect a long wait, and for good reason. We waited an hour and 15 minutes, but it was worth it. The popovers are big puffy buns baked at high heat, causing air bubbles in...More

View from JPH toward Pond is marred for short term by backhoes digging a project right in lawn where umbrella tables usually are. They can kick up some dust if wind is blowing at you. Not sure for how long. One of our party wanted...More

The food is average, the wait is long for lunch (about an hour if you're lucky), and most of us are here for the raved about popovers, which without butter and jam are truly not worth the effort or expense. So why are we here?...More

We didn't make reservations. I had read a previous review where someone had said they were told by the host that they only take reservations for 1/3 of the tables and they save the rest for walk in's.
